«Կումայրի պատմական կենտրոնի զարգացման» ծրագրի շրջանակում վերականգնվելու է Գյումրու Ռուսթավելի փողոցը: Ինչպես փաստում են Գյումրու քաղաքապետարանից՝  Ռուսթավելի փողոցը վերականգնվելու է սալաքարերով՝ նախկին տեսքով:
Այս պահին ընթացքի մեջ են փողոցի քանդման աշխատանքները: Ինչպես «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին Գյումրու քաղաքապետարանի հասարակության հետ կապերի բաժնից՝ փողոցի վերականգնման նպատակով Գյումրիում արդեն եղել է փողոցի վերականգնման նախագծային աշխատանքներն իրականացնող «Հայնախագիծ» ԲԲԸ նախագծային խումբը՝ «Հայնախագիծ» ԲԲ ընկերության տնօրեն Գրիգոր Ազիզյանի  գլխավորությամբ: Պատասխանատուների վստահեցմամբ՝ Ռուսթավելի փողոցում իրականացվելու է կոմունիկացիոն համակարգի վերականգնում: 
 
«Հայնախագիծ» ԲԲ ընկերության տնօրեն Գրիգոր Ազիզյանի խոսքով՝ փողոցի վերականգնման նախագծի էսքիզային առաջարկը հաստատված է, բայց մանրամասն ու աշխատանքային նախագծի մշակումը դեռ ընթացքի մեջ է: Մինչ նախագծի վերջնական մշակումը անհրաժեշտություն կլինի պարբերաբար իրականացնել ուսումնասիրություններ և, ըստ անհրաժեշտության, կատարել ճշգրտումներ, լրացումներ:
 
Կումայրի պատմական կենտրոնի զարգացման ծրագրի շրջանակներում Գյումրու Ռուսթավելի փողոցում քանդման և ապամոնտաժման աշխատանքները սկսվել են մարտի 21-ին «Գազպրոմ Արմենիա» ՓԲԸ Շիրակի գազաֆիկացման և գազամատակարարման մասնաճյուղին տրված համապատասխան թույլտվությունից հետո: 
 
Փողոցի սալաքարերը պահեստավորման նպատակով տեղափոխվել են Սև բերդի հարակից տարածք:
