Ֆրանսահայ աշխարհահռչակ երգահան և շանսոնյե կատարող Շառլ Ազնավուրը պաշտպանում է Հայաստանում իր ժողովրդի կատարած ընտրությունը: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, այս մասին Ազնավուրը հայտարարեց Մոսկվայում լրագրողների հետ հանդիպման ժամանակ:

«Ես երբեք չեմ խոսում քաղաքականության մասին: Թեպետ ունեմ շատ քաղաքական գործիչ ընկերներ, սակայն նրանց հետ խոսում եմ կինոյի, թատրոնի, երաժշտության, արվեստի մասին: Մենք շատ թեմաներ ունենք քաղաքականության մասին չխոսելու համար: Սակայն ով էլ ընտրվի իմ ժողովրդի կողմից, ես ընդունում եմ այդ ընտրությունը: Չեմ ցանկանում խոսել քաղաքական հարցերի մասին, սակայն եթե այդ մարդն ընտրվել է իմ ժողովրդի կողմից, ուրեմն նա իմ նախագահն է»,- հայտարարեց Ազնավուրը: Նա նաև անկեղծացավ` նշելով, որ չի սիրում մարդկանց, ովքեր գնում են այլ երկրներ ու ք ննադատում են իրենց երկրի քաղաքականությունը: «Ինձ համար ամեն բան հիանալի է»,- նշեց նա:

Հայաստանում ապրիլի 2-ին անցկացված քվեարկության արդյունքում Ազգային ժողով են անցնում քաղաքական 4 ուժեր. առաջատարը ՀՀԿ-ն է՝ 49.12 տոկոսով, հաջորդում են «Ծառուկյան», «Ելք» դաշինքները, համապատասխանաբար, 27.32 և  7.77 տոկոսով և ՀՅԴ-ն՝ 6.57 տոկոսով:
