Երևանի քաղաքապետ Տարոն Մարգարյանը հանդիպել է Հայաստանում ԵՄ պատվիրակության ղեկավար, դեսպան Պյոտր Սվիտալսկիի հետ: Ողջունելով հյուրին` քաղաքապետ Տարոն Մարգարյանը, առանձնակի կարևորելով քաղաքային տնտեսության կառավարման տարբեր ոլորտներում Եվրոպական միության հետ համագործակցության ընդլայնումը, նկատել է, որ այն հնարավորություն է ընձեռում ձեռք բերելու նոր գործընկերներ:

«Մենք կարևորում ենք միջազգային կառույցների հետ համագործակցության ընդլայնումն ու ամրապնդումը, ինչը նպաստում է նաև քաղաքային տնտեսության տարբեր բնագավառներում ենթակառուցվածքների արդիականացմանն ու զարգացմանը, ծառայությունների որակը զգալիորեն բարձրացնելուն և, որ կարևոր է, հրաշալի հնարավորություն է՝ փորձի փոխանակում իրականացնելու համար: Ուստի, մենք պատրաստակամ ենք՝ շարունակելու մեր համագործակցությունը Եվրամիության հետ, և համոզված եղեք, որ Երևանի քաղաքապետարանը բաց է ցանկացած ձևաչափով փոխգործակցության համար», - ընդգծել է Երևանի քաղաքապետը: 
Շնորհակալություն հայտնելով ջերմ ընդունելության համար՝ Հայաստանում ԵՄ պատվիրակության ղեկավար, դեսպան Պյոտր Սվիտալսկին իր հերթին նկատել է, որ Երևանի քաղաքապետարանն իսկապես վստահելի գործընկեր է, և նշել, որ ԵՄ-ն ևս պատրաստակամ է քաղաքապետարանի հետ փոխգործակցության ընդլայնման հարցում:
«Մենք բազմիցս ենք համոզվել, որ Երևանի քաղաքապետարանն իրոք վստահելի գործընկեր է, ինչի արդյունքներն արտացոլված են մեր համատեղ ծրագրերում: Ակնհայտ է, որ քաղաքն այսօր դինամիկ զարգացման ուղի է բռնել: Մենք ևս կարևորում ենք Երևանի քաղաքապետարանի հետ համագործակցության ընդլայնումը, և ուրախ եմ, որ համատեղ ծրագրերի շրջանակում կարողանում ենք մեր լուման ունենալ Երևանի զարգացման գործում», - նշել է Պյոտր Սվիտալսկին:
Հանդիպման շրջանակում կողմերն անդրադարձել են նաև Երևանում մայիսի 27-ին Եվրոպայի օրվան նվիրված միջոցառումների անցկացմանը: Քաղաքապետ Տարոն Մարգարյանը նշել է, որ Երևանի քաղաքապետարանն իր լիազորությունների շրջանակում պատրաստ է ըստ ամենայնի աջակցել միջոցառումների պատշաճ կազմակերպմանն ու անցկացմանը: Շնորհակալություն հայտնելով Երևանում նախաձեռնվող ծրագրերի կյանքի կոչման հարցում ցուցաբերվող մշտական աջակցության համար՝ Պյոտր Սվիտալսկին Երևանի քաղաքապետ Տարոն Մարգարյանին հրավիրել է մասնակցելու Եվրոպայի օրվան նվիրված Երևանում անցկացվող միջոցառումներին: Շնորհակալություն հայտնելով հրավերի համար՝ քաղաքապետ Տարոն Մարգարյանն էլ իր հերթին Հայաստանում ԵՄ պատվիրակության ղեկավարին հրավիրել է մասնակցելու ապրիլի 15-ին մայրաքաղաքում հայտարարված համաքաղաքային ծառատունկին: Սիրով ընդունելով հրավերը՝ Պյոտր Սվիտալսկին նշել է, որ համաքաղաքային ծառատունկին առաջին հերթին կմասնակցի որպես Երևանի բնակիչ, ում համար անչափ կարևոր է նախաձեռնության գաղափարն ու ավելի կանաչ Երևան ունենալու ցանկությունը:
