Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Բ Ծայրագույն Պատրիարք և Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսն ապրիլի 19-ին Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնում հանդիպում ունեցավ ղարաբաղյան հակամարտության ընթացքում` պատերազմական գործողությունների և զինադադարի պայմաններում, զոհված զինծառայողների մայրերի և այրիների հետ: Այս մասին տեղեկացրին Մայր Աթոռի տեղեկատվական համակարգից:

Սկզբում ՀՀ ԶՈՒ հոգևոր առաջնորդ Գերաշնորհ Տ. Վրթանես եպիսկոպոս Աբրահամյանը ներկայացրեց հանդիպմանը մասնակից հայուհիներին, ապա Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսն իր օրհնությունը բերեց ներկաներին` ողջունելով նրանց այցը Ս. Էջմիածին: Ամենայն Հայոց Հայրապետն իր սրտակցությունը հայտնեց զինվորների մայրերին և այրիներին` նրանց ցանկանալով Սուրբ Հոգու մխիթարություն:

Նորին Սրբությունն ասաց, որ յուրաքանչյուր հայ ցավ է ապրում այդ կորուստների համար, բայց նաև գիտակցում է, որ հայ հերոս զինվորներն իրենց կյանքն ընծայաբերել են Հայրենիքի, ժողովրդի և իրենց ընտանիքների խաղաղ ու ապահով կյանքի համար: «Մեր Սուրբ Եկեղեցին մշտապես աղոթում է Հայրենիքի համար իրենց կյանքը զոհաբերած իր զավակների համար: Հայրենիքի համար կյանքի նվիրաբերումը ամենանվիրական զոհաբերություն է նկատում մեր Եկեղեցին: Այդպես է ապրել և դարերի մեջ գոյատևել մեր ժողովուրդը: Վստահ եղեք, նրանց հիշատակը միշտ ապրելու է մեր ժողովրդի սրտում, և ժողովո ւրդը միշտ իր խոնարհումն է բերելու իր քաջազուն զավակների անմահ հիշատակի առջև», - նշեց Վեհափառ Հայրապետը:

Նորին Սրբությունը հավելեց, որ Հայրենիքի պաշտպանության սրբազան գործում հայ զինվորների դրսևորած բարձր գիտակցությունն ու հայրենասիրական ոգին միայն հպարտության զգացում է ծնում: Վերջում Նորին Սրբությունը, աղոթք բարձրացնելով հայրենյաց զոհված պաշտպանների հոգիների հանգստության համար, օրհնեց նրանց մայրերին և այրիներին` ցանկանալով ուժ, կամք և ոգու ամրություն:
