Երևանի քաղաքապետարանի և ՄԱԿ-ի զարգացման ծրագրի կողմից իրականացվող «Քաղաքային կանաչ լուսավորություն» ծրագրի շրջանակում մեկնարկել են Արշակունյաց պողոտայի արտաքին լուսավորության ցանցի վերազինման աշխատանքները էներգաարդյունավետ ԼԵԴ լուսատուներով: Տեղադրված էներգախնայող լուսադիոդային լուսատուներն արդեն ապահովում են ճանապարհային մակերեսի ժամանակակից պահանջներին համապատասխան համաչափ լուսավորություն՝բարելավելով ճանապարհի տեսանելիությունը և բարձրացնելով անվտանգությունը, ինչպես նաև նպաստում են ջերմոցային գազերի արտանետման նվազեցմանը: Միաժամանակ վերակառուցվում են հենասյուների բարձակները, ինչի արդյունքում առկա երկու բարձակները փոխարինվում են մեկականով: 242 լուսատուներից փոխարինվել է 44-ը: 

Ընդհանուր առմամբ ծրագրի շրջանակում Երևանի արտաքին լուսավորության ցանցի արդիականացման նպատակով իրականացվել են մայրաքաղաքի կենտրոնն օդանավակայանին կապող Իսակովի պողոտայի, «Հաղթանակ» կամրջի, Մաշտոցի պողոտայի, Աթենքի փողոցի, Բրազիլիայի հրապարակի, Ծիծեռնակաբերդի խճուղու և Հայոց ցեղասպանության զոհերի հիշատակը հավերժացնող Ծիծեռնակաբերդի հուշահամալիր տանող ճանապարհի լուսավորության համակարգի էներգաարդյունավետ վերազինման և լուսադիոդային ժամանակակից լուսատուների տեղադրման աշխատանքները: Արտաքին լուսավորության ցանցի արդիականացման շնորհիվ այդ հատվածներում էլեկտրաէներգիայի սպառումը կրճատվել է շուրջ 70%-ով: 
Հարկ է նշել, որ այս աշխատանքների ֆինանսավորումն իրականացվում է համապատասխան ֆոնդի միջոցներով, որը համալրվում է ծրագրով իրագործված նախագծերից գոյացող ֆինանսական խնայողություններից։
