Գերմանական Handelsblatt պարբերականի տեղեկություններով Գերմանիայի ֆինանսների նախարարության նախաձեռնությամբ խստացվել են Brexit-ի բանակցություններում ԵՄ-ի  հիմնական սկզբունքները։ ԵՄ-ից դուրս գալու համար Մեծ Բրիտանիայից պահանջելու են կատարել բոլոր ֆինանսական պարտավորությունները ԵՄ մնացած երկրների նկատմամբ, հայտնել է թերթը՝ վկայակոչելով իր տրամադրության տակ հայտնված փաստաթղթի նոր տարբերակը, որում շարադրված են Լոնդոնի հետ բանակցություններում Բրյուսելի կողմից ներկայացվելիք պահանջները։

Թերթը նշում է, որ փաստաթղթի նախորդ տարբերակում խոսքը Մեծ Բրիտանիայի «օրինական ու բյուջեին վերաբերող» պարտավորությունների մասին էր։ Այդ ձեւակերպումը կարելի էր մեկնաբանել որպես սահմանափակումներ, դրա համար էլ Գերմանիայի նախարարության պահանջով այն հանվել է տեքստից ։

Բացի դրանից Գերմանիայի Ֆինանսների նախարարությունը մեծ նշանակություն է տալու նրան, որ Brexit-ի մասին պայմանագրում նաեւ սահմանվի Եվրոպական ներդրումային բանկից, Եվրոպական ԿԲ-ից ու Եվրոպական զարգացման հիմնադրամից Մեծ Բրիտանիայի դուրս գալու կարգը։ Դրա համար էլ Բեռլինը պնդել է, որ այդ հարցը ամրագրվի փաստաթղթում։

Փաստաթղթի տեքստը պետք է հաստատվի ապրիլի 24-ին ԵՄ երկրների ներկայացուցիչների հանդիպման ժամանակ, վերջնականապես այն կընդունվի ԵՄ-ի ապրիլի 29-ի գագաթնաժողովի ժամանակ։ ԵՄ կազմից Մեծ Բրիտանիայի դուրս գալու մասին բանակցությունները պետք է սկսվեն հունիսի 8-ին Բրիտանիայում արտահերթ ընտրություններից հետո, որոնց անցկացման մասին մի քանի օր առաջ անսպասելիորեն հայտնել էր Մեծ Բրիտանիայի վարչապետ Թերեզա Մեյը։
