Կաունասի Մայր տաճարում կայացել է Հայոց ցեղասպանության 102-րդ տարելիցի արարողություն

Բալթյան տարածաշրջանի ամենախոշոր հոգևոր կենտրոններից մեկում՝ Կաունասի Սբ. Պետրոս և Սբ. Պողոս Առաքյալների մայր տաճարում, Կաունասի արքեպիսկոպոս Լիոնգինաս Վիրբալասի կողմից ապրիլի 23-ին մատուցվել է Սուրբ պատարագ՝ նվիրված Հայոց ցեղասպանության նահատակների հիշատակին։
 
Այս մասին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի նախարարության մամուլի, տեղեկատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապի վարչությունից՝ հավելելով. «Արքեպիսկոպոս Վիրբալասն իր խոսքում նշեց. «Այսօր հիշատակում ենք 20-րդ դարի առաջին ցեղասպանության 102-րդ տարելիցը, երբ ոչնչացվեցին ավելի քան մեկուկես միլիոն հայեր և այլ քրիստոնյաներ: 20-րդ դարում մարդկությունն ապրեց ևս երկու մեծագույն ողբերգություն` նացիզմ եւ ստալինիզմ»:
 
Արքեպիսկոպոսը նշեց, որ այսօր ևս այն տարածքներում, որտեղ նահատակվեցին հայերը, այլ քրիստոնյաներ ու կրոնական փոքրամասնություններ են ենթարկվում սպանդի: Արքեպիսկոպոսը հիշատակեց Հռոմի Ֆրանցիսկոս Պապի 2016 թ-ին Հայաստան կատարած պատմական այցի ընթացքում հնչեցրած ուղերձները:
 
Պատարագի ընթացքում ելույթ ունեցավ Լիտվայում ՀՀ արտակարգ և լիազոր դեսպան Տիգրան Մկրտչյանը, ով մասնավորապես նշեց, որ Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչումն ու դատապարտումն այժմ դիտարկվում է որպես այլ ցեղասպանությունների կանխարգելման հիմնական միջոցներից մեկը:
 
«Քանի դեռ ցեղասպանության ժխտողականությունը շարունակվում է և զոհերին ոճրագործների հետ հավասարեցնելու փորձեր են կատարվո ւմ, մարդկությունը ցեղասպանությունների կրկնության սպառնալիքի առջև է կանգնած»,- նշեց դեսպան Մկրտչյանը։
 
Մեջբերելով Հռոմի Բենեդիկտոս XV-րդ Պապի 1915 թ․ հնչեցված խոսքերը հայերի ոչնչացման փորձի մասին, դեսպանը ներկաների ուշադրությունը հրավիրեց այն հանգամանքի վրա, որ Հայոց ցեղասպանությանը զոհ են դարձել նաև 48 հայ եպիսկոպոսներ եւ 4500 քահանաներ, իսկ ցեղասպանությունից հետո ավելի քան 2200 հայկական եկեղեցիներ կողոպտվել և կործանվել են, ինչը վկայում է, որ Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը ոչ միայն մարդկության, այլև քաղաքակրթության դեմ ուղղված հանցագործություն էր:
 
«102 տարի է անցել երկրի երեսից հայերին բնաջնջելու փորձից, սակայն մենք շարունակելենք ապրել և արարել, պահպանել մեր հավատն ու հայրենիքը, մեր մշակույթն ու եկեղեցիները»,- նշեց դեսպան Մկրտչյանը:
 
Բալթյան երկրներում Հայոց առաքելական եկեղեցու հոգևոր հովիվ Տեր Խոսրով Ստեփանյանը հանդես եկավ աղոթքով: Պատարագի ընթացքում հնչեցին հայկական հոգևոր երգեր։
