Դամասկոսում  ապրիլի 23-ին և 24-ին տեղի են ունեցել Հայոց ցեղասպանության 102-րդ տարելիցին նվիրված մի շարք միջոցառումներ։

Այս մասին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի նախարարության մամուլի, տեղեկատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապի վարչությունից՝ հավելելով. «Ապրիլի 23-ին Դամասկոսի Սուրբ Սարգիս Հայ Աrաքելական առաջնորդանիստ եկեղեցու բակում կայացավ հիշատակի միջոցառում, որի ընթացքում տեղի ունեցան Հայոց ցեղասպանությանը նվիրված բանախոսություն և քննարկում:

Ապրիլի 24-ին Դամասկոսի թեմի առաջնորդ Արմաշ արքեպիսկոպոս Նալբանդյանի կողմից մատուցվեց Հայոց ցեղասպանության զոհերի հիշատակի Սուրբ Պատարագ, որին ներկա էին Սիրիայում ՀՀ դեսպան Արշակ Փոլադյանը, ՍԱՀ Ժողովրդական ժողովի պատգամավոր, Սիրիա-Հայաստան խորհրդարանական բարեկամության խմբի նախագահ Նորա Արիսյանը, Դամասկոսի Հայ Կաթողիկե թեմի առաջնորդ Հովսեփ եպիսկոպոս Առնաությանը, Դամասկոսի քրիստոնյա եկեղեցիների առաջնորդներ ու պատվիրակներ, հայկական համայնքային կառույցների ղեկավարներ: Պատարագից հետո Սուրբ Սարգիս եկեղեցու բակում գտնվող Ցեղասպանու թյան հուշարձանի առջև մատուցվեց Սրբոց Նահատակաց բարեխոսության կարգ:

Նույն օրը միջոցառում տեղի ունեցավ նաև Սիրիայում ՀՀ դեսպանությունում։ Դիմելով ներկաներին՝ դեսպան Փոլադյանը նշեց, որ Ցեղասպանությունից ավելի քան հարյուր տարի անց մեկուկես միլիոն զոհերի հիշատակը վառ է հայ ազգի հիշողության մեջ: Դեսպանն ընդգծեց նաև Սիրիայում տիրող ծանր ռազմաքաղաքական իրադրության պայմաններում հայ համայնքի հավաքականության և համախմբվածության, ինչպես նաև Հայաստանի, Արցախի և Սփյուռքի միասնական լինելու կարևորությունը:

Ապրիլի 24-ի երեկոյան Դամասկոսի Հայ Կաթողիկե Թագուհի Տիեզերյաց եկեղեցում Դամասկոսի Հայ Կաթողիկե թեմի առաջնորդ Հովսեփ եպիսկոպոս Առնաությանի ղեկավարությամբ մատուցվեց Սուրբ Պատարագ և աղոթք: Այնուհետև, Հայ Կաթողիկե «Արմինյան» սրահում տեղի ունեցավ «Ոգեկոչում ի հիշատակ Հայոց ցեղասպանության Սրբոց Նահատակաց» խորագրով հուշահանդեսը՝ Դամասկոսի ազգային միությունների մասնակցությամբ: Միջոցառմանը բանախոսությամբ հանդես եկավ Կիպրոսի Հայ Առաքելական թեմի նախկին առաջնորդ Վարուժան արքեպիսկոպոս Հերկելյանը»:
