ՀՀ վարչապետ Կարեն Կարապետյանն ընդունել է Լիբանանի բիզնեսի պլանավորման հարցերով պետական նախարար Մայքլ Ֆարաոնի գլխավորած պատվիրակությանը:  Այս մասին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ կառավարության տեղեկատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապերի վարչությունից:

Ողջունելով հյուրերին կառավարությունում՝ վարչապետը հույս է հայտնել, որ պարոն Ֆարաոնի այցը Հայաստան նոր թափ կհաղորդի հայ-լիբանանյան խորը արմատներ ունեցող հարաբերություններին, բիզնես կապերի զարգացմանը, առևտրաշրջանառության ծավալների ավելացմանը: Նշելով, որ ներկայում ՀՀ-ում գործում է լիբանանյան կապիտալով 211 ընկերություն՝ Կարեն Կարապետյանը համոզմունք է հայտնել, որ առկա է տնտեսական փոխգործակցության զարգացման մեծ ներուժ, Հայաստանը կարող է հետաքրքիր լինել լիբանանյան բիզնեսին ոչ միյան իր, այլ նաև Եվրասիական տնտեսական միության ու իրանական շուկա մուտք գործելու տեսանկյունից: Այդ առումով, վարչապետն անդրադարձել է ԵԱՏՄ շուկայի առավելություններին, Իրանի հետ սահմանին Ազատ տնտեսական գոտու հնարավորություններին:  Կարեն Կարապետյանի խոսքով, Հայաստանի ու Լիբանանի համագործակցության ոլորտները կարող են լինել բազմաթիվ՝ առողջապահություն, դեղագործություն, հանքարդյունաբերություն, վերականգնվող էներգետիկա, ենթակառուցվածքներ և այլն: Գործադիրի ղեկավարը կարևորել է հայ-լիբանանյան միջկառավարական հանձնաժողովի ակտիվ գործունեությունը՝ երկկողմ համագործակցությունն էլ ավելի ամրապնդելո ւ և դիվերսիֆիկացնելու համատեքստում: Կարեն Կարապետյանը խնդրել է նաև իր ջերմ ողջույնները փոխանցել Լիբանանի վարչապետ Սաադ Հարիրիին:

Լիբանանի բիզնեսի պլանավորման հարցերով պետական նախարարը ևս կարևորել է երկու երկրների միջև տնտեսական կապերի խթանումը և հավելել, որ տպավորված է Հայաստանում գործարար միջավայրի բարելավման ու արտաքին ներդրողների համար բարենպաստ պայմանների տրամադրման ուղղությամբ ՀՀ կառավարության կատարած քայլերից: Մայքլ Ֆարաոնն ընդգծել է, որ այդ ամենը ներկայացվելու է լիբանանյան գործարար հատվածին, որը շահագրգռված է Հայաստանի միջոցով ԵԱՏՄ և Իրանի շուկա մուտք գործելու հարցում: Նա տեղեկացրել է, որ հայաստանյան գործընկերների հետ արդեն իսկ քննարկվում է լիբանանյան կապիտալով Հայաստանում երկու ներդրումային ծրագրի իրականացման հարցը, որոնք ուղղված են առողջապահության ոլորտին և կենցաղային իրերի արտադրության գործարանի հիմնմանը:   

Վարչապետ Կարապետյանը ողջունել է ներդրումային ծրագրերի իրականացումը, նշել, որ առողջապահության ոլորտում կառավարությունը իրականացնում է համարձակ ու տրամաբանական բարեփոխումներ: Վարչապետի խոսքով, կառավարությունը շահագրգռված է ոչ միայն լիբանանյան կապիտալի, այլ նաև բիզնես մշակույթի մուտքով Հայաստան:
