Հայաստանում գործող միակ պետական՝ Երևանի կենդանաբանական այգում 2016 թվականի տարեվերջի դրությամբ առկա է եղել 149 տեսակի կենդանի:

Ինչպես տեղեկացնում են ՀՀ ազգային վիճակագրական ծառայության տվյալները, 2016 թվականին կենդանիների գլխաքանակը կազմել է 854:

Այգու կենդանիներից 142-ը գրանցված են Հայաստանի Հանրապետության Կարմիր գրքում, 403-ը` Բնության պահպանության միջազգային միության Կարմիր ցուցակում, այդ թվում` 2 երկկենցաղներ, 62 սողուններ, 163 կաթնասուններ, 176 թռչուններ: ՀՀ Կարմիր գրքում են գրանցված 30 սողուններ, 36 կաթնասուններ և 76 թռչուններ:
Նախորդ տարի այգում ծնվել է 14 տեսակի 41 կենդանի` 31 կաթնասուններ և 10 թռչուններ: Նույն ժամանակահատվածում այգում անկել է 34  տեսակի 328 կենդանի, որից 240-ը ձկներ են, 57-ը թռչուններ, 27-ը կաթնասուններ, 4-ը սողուններ: Անկած թռչուններից 24-ը գիշատիչ են, կաթնասուններից գիշա տիչ են 5-ը, սմբակավոր` 9-ը և պրիմատներ 6-ը:

Միևնույն ժամանակ կենդանաբանական այգին ձեռք է բերել 2 երկկենցաղ, 41 սողուն, 4 կաթնասուն, 62 ձկներ և 30 թռչուններ: Ընդհանուր առմամբ, 139 կենդանի՝ 36 տեսակի: 
Այգի նախորդ տարի այցելել է 244,6 հազար մարդ: Կենդանաբանական այգու ընդհանուր մակերեսը կազմում է 35 հա, որից 10 հա-ն կենդանիների համար նախատեսված կառույցների մակերեսն է: Հիմնական աշխատողների թվաքանակն այգում 78 է:

2016 թվականի ընթացքում կենդանաբանական այգու ֆինանսական մուտքերը կազմել են 448,6 մլն դրամ, որից 273 միլիոնը` ՀՀ բյուջեից, 145,5 միլիոնը` բնակչության մատուցած վճարովի ծառայություններից, 37 միլիոնը նվիրատվություններից, իսկ 26,4 մլն-ը այլ միջոցներից: Միևնույն ժամանակ ֆինանսական միջոցների ծախսը կազմել է 448,3 մլն դրամ:
