 Բրյուսելում Հայ առաքելական  Սուրբ Մարիամ Մագդաղենացի եկեղեցում մայիսի 1-ին անցկացվել է դրամահավաք սիրիահայությանն օժանդակելու համար: Այս մասին «Արմենպրես»-ի հետ զրույցում նշեց ՀՅԴ Հայ դատի Եվրոպայի հանձնախմբի հաղորդակցության պատասխանատու Պետո Դեմիրճյանը:

Սիրիահայերի աջակցությանն ուղղված միջոցառմանը միացել են Բելգիայում գործող գրեթե բոլոր հայկական կազմակերպությունները: Միջոցառմանը ներկա են եղել Բերիո Հայոց թեմի առաջնորդ Շահան արքեպիսկոպոս Սարգիսյանը, Հալեպի հայ համայնքի ներկայացուցիչ Կարապետ Յուզբաշյանը:

«Միջոցառման նպատակն է Բրյուսելի հայ համայնքին ներկայացնել սիրիահայության դիմագրաված մարտահրավերները: Սրբազանը ներկայացրել է կրոնական առումով իրենց ակնկալիքները, թե ո՞ւր են հասել և ի՞նչ կարելի է անել սիրիահայության համար: Կարապետ Յուզբաշյանն էլ ներկայացրել է սիրիահայության խնդիրները: Բելգիայի հայ համայնքն էլ փորձել է նյութական օժանդակությամբ օգնել սիրիահայերին»,-ասաց նա:

Հավաքված գումարը տրվելու է Սիրիայի հայկական եկեղեցուն: Պետո Դեմիրճյանը նշեց, որ իրենց համար լավագույն հաստատությունն այդ կառույցն է, որը շատ լավ գիտի սիրիահայերի խնդիրների մասին և թե ուր կարելի է ուղղորդել ֆինանսական միջոցները:

«Հայ համայնքի հետ հանդիպումից բացի, սպասվում են նաև քաղաքական հանդիպումներ: Շահան արքեպիսկոպոս Սարգիսյանը, Կարապետ Յուզբաշյանը մայիսի 2-ին և մայիսի 3-ին կմասնակցեն Եվրոպայի Հայ դատի հանձնախմբի կողմից կազմակերպած հանդիպումներին: Նրանք կհանդիպեն Բելգիայի ֆեդերալ և շրջանային մակարդակի խորհրդարանների ներկայացուցիչների հետ: Նախատեսված է հանդիպում Եվրախորհրդարանում պատասխանատուների հետ: Նպատակն է իրազեկել սիրիահայերի խնդիրների մասին»,-ավելացրեց Պետո Դեմիրճյանը:

Շահան արքեպիսկոպոս Սարգիսյանը, Կարապետ Յուզբաշյանը, մինչ Բրյուսել այցելելը, եղել են Ֆրանսիայում, որտեղ կազմակերպված է եղել սիրիահայության օժանդակությանն ուղղված նման միջոցառում: Բրյուսելից հետո նրանք նույն նպատակով մեկնելու են Հոլանդիա:

Բելգիայի հայերն առաջին անգամ չեն սիրիահայերի աջակցությանն ուղղված միջոցառում անցկացնում: Առաջին անգամ դրամահավաք են կազմակերպել, երբ հարձակման թիրախ դարձան Քեսաբը, այնտեղի հայերը: Բելգիայի հայ համայնքը կազմակերպել է նաև լրագրողական, քաղաքական պատվիրակությունների այց Դամասկոս, Քեսաբ, այնուհետև Իրաք:
