 Հայաստանն ունի բարենպաստ տնտեսական հնարավորություններ: Վերջին երկու տարիների ընթացքում ամերիկյան ընկերությունների կողմից Հայաստանում կատարվել է 500 մլն դոլարի ներդրումներ: Արմենպրեսի հաղորդմամբ` այս մասին ասաց Հայաստանում Ամերիկայի Միացյալ Նահանգների դեսպանության  քաղաքատնտեսական բաժնի ղեկավար Մեթյու Յուսենը: Նրա խոսքով՝ աշխատելով ՀՀ կառավարության հետ` Հայաստանում ԱՄՆ դեսպանատան համար առաջնային են համարվում կոռուպցիայի դեմ պայքարը, բիզնես միջավայրի բարելավման քայլերը, մտավոր սեփականության իրավունքի պաշտպանությունը, հարկային և մաքսային վարչարարության հետ կապված հարցերը, որոնք կարևոր գործոններ են արտասահմանյան գործարարների մրցունակ և հաջողակ լինելու համար: Այս բոլոր քայլերի արդյունքում գործարարներն իրենց ավելի վստահ կզգան և ավելի շատ ներդրումներ կատարելու պատրաստ կլինեն:

«Այս ուղղություններում մենք տեսել ենք դրական զարգացումներ: Թերևս այդ են փաստում  վերջին երկու տարիների ընթացքում ամերիկյան ընկերությունների կողմից Հայաստանում կատարված 500 մլն դոլարի ներդրումները: Հայաստանն ունի բարենպաստ տնտեսական հնարավորություններ: Մեր կառավարությունը պատրաստ է և ունի միջոցներ այդ ուղղությամբ աշխատելու համար: Հայաստանի հետ ունենք առևտրի և ներդրումների շրջանակային համաձայնագիր, ինչպես նաև կա տնտեսական հարցերով հայ-ամերիկյան միջկառավարական աշխատանքային խումբ: Ներգրավում ենք ամերիկյան և հայկական բիզնես ներկայացուցիչներին` հասկանալու և աջակցելու նրանց, որպեսզի զարգացնենք գործարար կապերը»,- ասաց Յուսենը:

Նրա դիտարկմամբ` Հայաստանի անկախության 25 տարիների ընթացքում 2 երկրների հարաբերությունները զարգացում են ապրել, և գործընկերությունն աջակցությունից տեղափոխվել է առևտրի և տնտեսական հարաբերությունների դաշտ: Յուսենի խոսքով` այն լինելու է իրենց աշխատանքի հետագա ուղղվածությունն առաջիկա 25 տարիների ընթացքում, որից հետո ակնկալում են, որ կկարողանան իրական առևտրատնտեսական կապեր ձևավորել Հայաստանի և ԱՄՆ-ի միջև:
