Սիրելի՛ համաքաղաքացիներ,

Արդեն մի քանի տարի է, ինչ Հայաստանում մայիսի 15-ին պաշտոնապես նշում ենք Ընտանիքի միջազգային օրը:

Խորհրդանշական այս տոնը ևս մեկ առիթ է` վերահաստատելու, որ ընտանիքը բոլոր ժամանակներում եղել ու լինելու է երկրի կարևորագույն օղակը` հիմքը, որով ավելի ուժեղ է դառնում պետությունը: Ի վերջո, ընտանիքը փոխադարձ սիրո, հարգանքի, հանդուրժողականության աղբյուր է, որի հիման վրա էլ ձևավորվում է քաղաքակիրթ հանրությունը:

Անժխտելի է այն մեծ դերը, որը մենք՝ հայերս, վերագրում ենք ընտանիքին և ընտանեկան արժեքներին: Լինելով համամարդկային արժեք, այդուամենայնիվ, ընտանիքն ու օջախը մեզ համար սրբություն են, ինչը հայերիս դեպքում շատ բնական է, քանզի դարեր շարունակ հայի օջախը եղել է ավանդույթների պահպանման այն միջավայրը, որում դաստիարակվել են իրապես ազգային արժեքներ դավանող սերունդներ: Մեր հարատևման և հաղթանակների ամենամեծ գրավականն էլ եղել ու, վստահաբար, լինելու է հայ օջախի կայունությունը, ընտանիքի հանդեպ ունեցած անսահման սերն ու նվիրումը: 

Եվ այսօր, շնորհավորելով բոլոր հայ ընտանիքներին՝ այս համամարդկային տոնի առթիվ, բոլորիս մաղթում եմ ընտանեկան ջերմություն, բարեկեցություն և խաղաղություն: Ու թո՛ղ, որ միմյանց հանդեպ սերն ու հարգանքը շարունակի մնալ մեր ամենակարևոր արժեքը:
