Անդրխաղաղօվկիանոսյան գործընկերության (ԱԽԳ) 11 անդամ երկրների առեւտրի նախարարները Հանոյում հանդիպման ժամանակ խոստացել են համաձայնագիրը վերածնել եւ աշխատանքն առանց ԱՄՆ-ի շարունակել այն բանից հետո, երբ ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը հրաման է ստորագրել ԱԽԳ-ից երկրի դուրս գալու մասին, փոխանցում է BBC-ն:

Նախարարները նշել են, որ պատրաստ են Նահանգներին ետ ընդունել, եթե Վաշինգտոնի տրամադրվածությունը փոխվի:

Այսուհանդերձ, հանդիպմանը մասնակցող ԱՄՆ ներկայացուցիչ Ռոբերտ Լայթայզերը հայտարարել է, որ իր երկիրը որոշումը փոխելու մտադրություն չունի:

Նախընտրական արշավի ընթացքում ԱԽԳ-ն քննադատելիս Թրամփը որպես պայմանագրի թերություններից մեկը նշել է, որ նրանում իբրեւ նախատեսված է «ետին դուռ»՝ կետ, որը կարող է Չինաստանին թույլ տալ միանալ դաշնագրին:

Այս երկրներից, նաեւ հանդիպման երկիր Վիետնամից բացի, դաշնագիրը ստորագրել են Կանադան, Սինգապուրը, Մեքսիկան, Պերուն, Մալայզիան, Բրունեյը եւ Չիլին:

ԱԽԳ-ն ենթադրում է այս երկրների միջեւ ազատ առեւտրի գոտու ստեղծում, տարածաշրջանում առեւտրային սակագների կրճատում, իսկ հեռանկարում՝ Խաղաղօվկիանոսյան տարածաշրջանում եվրոպականին նման միասնական շուկայի ստեղծում:
