Քաթարի դիվանագիտական մեկուսացումը կարող Է նոր մեծ պատերազմի սկիզբ դառնալ: Այդ մասին Foreign Policy-ում գրել Է Սայմոն Հենդերսոնը՝ Պարսից ծոցի երկրների նկատմամբ քաղաքականության ծրագրի եւ մերձավորարեւելյան քաղաքականության վաշինգտոնյան ինստիտուտի՝ Էներգետիկայի հարցերով տնօրենը: «Սուննի երկրները վաղուց Էին ձգտում պատերազմ սկսել Իրանի դեմ: Քաթարի շուրջ ստեղծված իրադրությունը, հնարավոր Է, պարզապես առիթ Է, որից նրանք որոշել են օգտվել»,-նշել Է նա:
