Արցախի Հանրապետության ՄԻՊ Ռուբեն Մելիքյանն աշխատանքային այցով գտնվում է ԱՄՆ-ում: Ունենալով հանդիպում-քննարկումներ տարբեր հարթակներում՝ ՄԻՊ-ը հանրային հանդիպում է ունեցել ԱՄՆ Կալիֆորնիա նահանգի Գլենդել քաղաքի հայ համայնքի ներկայացուցիչների հետ, որը կազմակերպվել է «Ասպարեզ» օրաթերթի, Հայ դատի արեւմտյան գրասենյակի, ՀՅԴ երիտասարդական կազմակերպության եւ Հայ փաստաբանների միության կողմից:
 
Հանդիպումը վարել է «Ասպարեզ» օրաթերթի անգլերեն բաժնի խմբագիր Արա Խաչատուրյանը: Քննարկման ժամանակ տեղաբնակ հայերը բարձրացրել են իրենց հուզող հարցերը՝ սկսած Արցախում մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանվածությունից մինչեւ Ռամիլ Սաֆարով, որոնցից յուրաքաչյուրին ԱՀ ՄԻՊ-ը տվել է հստակ ու կոնկրետ պատասխաններ:
 
Ի դեպ, հարց է բարձրացվել նաեւ «Սասնա Ծռեր»-ի կողմից Ոստիկանական ՊՊԾ գնդի գրավման մասին: Համեմատական անցկացնելով ՀՀ ԱԺ-ում Նաիրի Հունանյանի, նրա հանցագործ համակիրների եւ Արցախյան պատերազմի միոջվ անցած ազատամարտիկների նմանօրինակ քայլի միջեւ՝ Գլենդելում բնակվող հայը հարցրել է, թե ինչու են մարդիկ հասնում այն կրիտիկական կետին, որ դիմեն նման հակաօրինական քայլերի:
 
Ռուբեն Մելիքյանը քաղաքավարի պատասխան է տվել ՊՊԾ գունդը գրաված մարդկանց կողմնակիցների բավական էմոցիոնալ հարցին: Նա նախ հիշեցրել է, որ իր մանդատը Արցախի Ազգային ժողովի կողմից է տրված, այնուհետեւ պատասխանել է, որ, իրականում, տեղի ունեցածը Առաքելոց վանքի կռիվը չէ. «Առաքելոց վանքի կռվի ժամանակներն անցել են։ Մենք պետականություն ենք կառուցում…։»
