 Սեյսմիկ պաշտպանության ծառայության (ՍՊԾ) սեյսմոլոգիական ցանցի կողմից  օգոստոսի 10-16-ը գրանցված երկրաշարժերից 25-ի համար որոշվել են օջախի հիմնական պարամետրերը:  Տեղի ունեցած սեյսմիկ իրադարձություններից 7-ը գտնվում են Հայաստանի Հանրապետության տարածքում:

Տարածաշրջանում 3 բալ և ավելի ուժգնությամբ գրանցվել է 10 երկրաշարժ: Օգոստոսի 11-ին Թուրքիա-Իրան սահմանային գոտում՝ Սարայ քաղաքից 31 կմ դեպի հարավ-արևելք տեղի է ունեցել 3-4 բալ ուժգնությամբ (2.8 մագնիտուդ) երկրաշարժ: Հաջորդ օրը 4 և 3-4 բալ ուժգնությամբ (3.2 և 2.8 մագնիտուդ) երկու երկրաշարժ է գրանցվել Թուրքիայում՝ Ալաշկերտ քաղաքից 16 կմ դեպի հյուսիս-արևմուտք: Նույն էպիկենտրոնային գոտում օգոստոսի 13-ին գրանցվել է երրորդ երկրաշարժը՝ 4-5 բալ ուժգնությամբ (3.4 մագնիտուդ): Նույն օրը Վրաստանի Լագոդեխի քաղաքից 24 կմ դեպի հյուսիս-արևմուտք գրանցված ստորգետնյա ցնցումների ուժգնությունն էր 3 բալ (2.6 մագնիտուդ): Օգոստոսի 13-ից 14-ը՝ 3, 3-4 և 4-5 բալ ուժգնությամբ (2.6, 2.7 և 3.5 մագնիտուդ) երեք երկրաշարժ է տեղի ունեցել Ադրբեջանի Շեքի քաղաքից 24 կմ հարավ-արևելք: Օգոստոսի 14-ին Ադրբեջան-Թուրքիա սահմանային գոտում՝ Զաքաթալա քաղաքից 34 կմ դեպի հարավ-արևելք գրանցվել է 3-4 բալ ուժգնությամբ (2.7 մագնիտուդ) երկրաշարժ: Նույն ուժգնությամբ (2.7 մագնիտուդ) հաջորդ երկրաշարժը գրանցվել է օգոստոսի 15-ին Թուրքիայի Դողուբայազեթ քաղաքից 50 կմ դեպի հարավ-արևմուտք:

Տարածաշրջանից դուրս. 6.0 և ավելի մագնիտուդով գրանցվել է 2 երկրաշարժ: Օգոստոսի 11-ին 6.2 մագնիտուդով երկրաշարժ է տեղի ունեցել Ֆիլիպիններում՝ Բունկան քաղաքից 4 կմ դեպի hյուսիս-արևելք: Օգոստոսի 13-ին 6.4 մագնիտուդով երկրաշարժ է գրանցվել Ինդոնեզիայում՝ Բենկուլու քաղաքից 65 կմ դեպի արևմուտք: Երկրաշարժերի հետևանքով զոհեր և ավերածություններ չկան:
