Վիեննայում օգոստոսի 16-ին տեղի է ունեցել Հայոց ցեղասպանության մասին պատմող «Խոստումը» (The Promise) ֆիլմի գերմաներեն թարգմանությամբ  պրեմիերան, որը Ավստրիայի իշխող սոցիալ-դեմոկրատական կուսակցության հովանու ներքո և Ավստրիայում ՀՀ դեսպանության աջակցությամբ կազմակերպել էր Ավստրիայի Հայ դատի գրասենյակը: Ինչպես տեղեկանում ենք ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի նախարարության մամուլի, տեղեկատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապի վարչությունից, միջոցառմանը ներկա էին Ավստրիայի գործադիր և օրենսդիր մարմինների ներկայացուցիչներ, քաղաքական, հասարակական գործիչներ, լրատվամիջոցների ներկայացուցիչներ, ինչպես նաև ավստրիահայ համայնքային կառույցների ղեկավարներ:

Ողջույնի խոսքով հանդես է եկել Ավստրիայի դաշնային խորհրդարանի պատգամավոր Բերիվան Ասլանը, ով նշել է Հայոց ցեղասպանության վերաբերյալ հասարակությանը իրազեկելու, ցեղասպանության հետևանքները վերացնելու ուղղությամբ նմանատիպ ֆիլմերի և հասարակական հնչեղություն ունեցող նման միջոցառումների կարևորությունը:

Սոցիալ-դեմոկրատական կուսակցության Վիեննայի մարմնի ներկայացուցիչ Օլիվեր Շտաուբերն առանձնացրել է Ավստրիայում և եվրոպական մյուս երկրներում իր կուսակցության և քաղաքական մյուս ուժերի կողմից ձեռնարկվող ջանքերը՝ Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչման խնդիրը օրակարգում պահելու ուղղությամբ` որպես համագործակցության օրինակ բերելով 2015թ. ապրիլին Ավստրիայի դաշնային խորհրդարանի կողմից ցեղասպանության փաստի և Ավստրիայի պատասխանատվության իր բաժինը միաձայն ճանաչելու հանգամանքը:

Օգոստոսի 17-ից սկսած «Խոստումը» ցուցադրվելու է Ավստրիայի խոշոր բոլոր կինոթատրոններում:
