Աֆրիկյան ցեղերում երեխաներին մեծ ուշադրություն են հատկացնում, քանի որ նրանց պարտքն է խնամել իրենց ծնողներին: Սա է պատճառը, որ ամեն ընտանիք ցանկանում է որքան հնարավոր է շատ երեխաներ ունենալ: Բայց ոչ բոլոր տղամարդիկ են կարողանում այդքան շատ ժառանգներ ունենալ: Այդ պատճառով ցեղի առաջնորդն ունի հատուկ օգնական, ով ազատված է բոլոր պարտականություններից և նրա միակ գործը ցեղը շարունակելն ու շատ սերունդներ տալն է։
