Ադրբեջանի նախագահ Իլհամ Ալիևի ելույթը ՄԱԿ-ի Գլխավոր Ասամբլեայում հերթական անգամ ի ցույց դրեց այն զավեշտալի իրավիճակը, որում հայտնվել է այդ գործիչը:

Մեկնաբանելով ՄԱԿ-ի ԳԱ-ում Ադրբեջանի նախագահի ունեցած ելույթը՝ նման կարծիք հայտնեց ՀՀ Ազգային ժողովի փոխնախագահ Էդուարդ Շարմազանովը:

Անդրադառնալով ելույթում Խոջալուի դեպքերի վերաբերյալ Ալիևի արած հայտարարություններին՝ Շարմազանովը համոզմունք հայտնեց, որ եթե Ալիև կրտսերը Խոջալուի դեպքերի ժամանակ լիներ ռազմաճակատում կամ շփման գծում, այլ ոչ թե Թուրքիայում կապիտալ կուտակելիս և տարաբնույթ հաճույքներին տրվելիս, դժվար թե այսօր նման՝ «իրականությունից հեռու և հիմար հայտարարություններ աներ»:

«Քանի որ նա բացակա է եղել և ականատեսը չի եղել այդ դեպքերին, ճիշտ կաներ կարդար իր երկրի նախորդ նախագահներից Այազ Մութալիբովի հուշերը կամ հարցազրույցը «Վեդոմոստի» պարբերականին, որում Ադրբեջանի նախկին նախագահը հստակ նշում է, որ Խոջալուի դեպքերի միակ պատասխանատուն Ադրբեջանի «Ազգային ճակատ» միավորումն է: Դա ասում է ոչ թե հայկական կողմը, այլ այն ժամանակվա Ադրբեջանի նախագահը: Իր նմանատիպ հայտարարություններով Ալիևը կրկին ի ցույց է դնում իր զավեշտալի վիճակը»,-ընդգծեց խորհրդարանի փոխխոսնակը:

Էդուարդ Շարմազանովը շեշտեց, որ մեղադրել հայերին Խոջալուի դեպքերի մեջ նույն բանն է, «ինչ Ադոլֆ Հիտլերը մեղադրեր Խորհրդային միությանն ու Միացյալ Նահանգներին հրեաների զանգվածային ոչնչացման մեջ»:

Խոսելով ընդհանուր առմամբ Ալիևի ելույթի հիմնական շեշտադրումների մասին՝ ԱԺ փոխնախագահը կարծիք հայտնեց, որ այդ հայտարարություններին այլևս Ադրբեջանում էլ լուրջ վերաբերվող չկա: 

«Հնարավոր է բացառություն կազմեն իր ընտանիքի անդամները, ովքեր նրա հետ ուղևորվել էին Նյու Յորք»,- ամփոփեց Շարմազանովը:
