Ինչպես արդեն տեղեկացրել ենք, երեկ Հայաստան է ժամանել ԽՍՀՄ ժողովրդական արտիստ Իոսիֆ Կոբզոնը: Արտիստի հայաստանյան առաջին կանգառը Ռուսաստանի Վ. Գ Պլեխանովի անվան տնտեսագիտական համալսարանի երևանյան մասնաճյուղում էր:

Համալսարանում Իոսիֆ Կոբզոնին դիմավորեցին համալսարանի հոգաբարձուների խորհրդի նախագահ Արման Վարդանյանը, երևանյան մասնաճյուղի տնօրեն Խաչիկ Գալստյանը, գործարար, մեկենաս «Թովմասյան» հիմնադրամի նախագահ Արտակ Թովմասյանն և այլ պաշտոնյաներ:

Արտիստը ներկաներին ողջունեց հայերենով՝ «Բարև Ձեզ, Հայաստան» նախադասությամբ, որից հետո շնորհակալություն հայտնեց այս հանդիպումը կազմակերպելու համար:

Ելույթով հանդես եկավ համալսարանի երևանյան մասնաճյուղի հոգաբարձուների խորհրդի նախագահ Արման Վարդանյանը: Վերջինս ողջունելով Իոսիֆ Կոբզոնին՝ ընդգծեց, որ հպարտություն է այս համալսարանում ընդունել մի մարդու, ով համարվում է լեգենդ տարբեր սերունդների համար: Անդրադառնալով համալսարանի գործունեությանն՝ Արման Վարդանյանը նշեց, որ հոգաբարձուների խորհուդն անելու է ամենը, որպեսզի ուսանողները ստանան բարձրակարգ և մրցունակ կրթություն. «Ցանկանում եմ ընդգծել, որ այս համալսարանն իր նոր տնօրենով կկարողանա բարձրագույն կրթության ոլորտում նվաճել նոր բարձունքներ՝ շնորհիվ նաև պրոֆեսիանալ դասախոսական անձնակազմի»:

Խաչիկ Գալստյանը  համալսարանի ողջ դասախոսական անձնակազմի և բոլոր ուսանողների անունից շնորհակալություն հայտնեց պատվավոր հյուրին՝ նշելով, որ Իոսիֆ Կոբզոնի հայաստանյան այցն ու այս համալսարանում նրա ներկայությունը պարտավորեցնում է երիտասարդ սերնդին՝ գնահատելու այն անցած ուղին, որ առկա է երկու ժողովուրդների միջև:

Հոգաբարձուների խորհրդի անդամ, մեկենաս Արտակ Թովմասյանն էլ հավելեց, որ ստեղծվելու է ֆոնդ, որի շնորհիվ համալսարանի լավագույն ուսանողները ստանալու են կրթաթոշակներ.««Թովմասյան» հիմնադրամը  ստեղծել է հատուկ ֆոնդ այս բուհի լավագույն ուսանողների վարձավճարները վճարելու և կրթաթոշակներ տրամադրելու համար: Սրանից բացի, բուհն ավարտած լավագույն ուսանողները հիմնադարամի աջակցությամբ կանցնեն բարձր վարձատրվող աշխատանքի»,-ասաց բարերարը:   

Հավելենք նաև որ  Իոսիֆ Կոբզոնին շնորհվեց Ռուսաստանի Վ. Գ Պլեխանովի անվան տնտեսագիտական համալսարանի երևանյան մասնաճյուղի հոգաբարձուների խորհրդի պատվավոր անդամի կոչում և նրա անվամբ համալսարանում բացվեց լսարան:
