ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահի տիկինը՝ Մելանյա Թրամփը, այս հանգստյան օրերին իր առաջին ինքնուրույն արտասահմանյան ուղեւորությունն Է կատարել որպես առաջին տիկին. սեպտեմբերի 23-ին նա ուղեւորվել Է Կանադայի Տորոնտո, զինվորական հաշմանդամների միջազգային մրցումներ են անցկացվում: Այստեղ Թրամփը հանդիպում Է ունեցել դրանց նախաձեռնողի՝ բրիտանական գահի ժառանգման հերթում հինգերորդը համարվող արքայազն Հարրիի եւ Կանադայի վարչապետ Ջասթին Թրյուդոյի հետ, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը:

ԱՄՆ-ի ղեկավարի տիկինը գլխավորել Է ամերիկյան պատվիրակությունը «Աննվաճների խաղերում»: Դրանք միջազգային մրցումներ են, որոնց մասնակցում են բացառապես հաշմանդամ զինվորականները: Արքայազն Հարրիի նախաձեռնությամբ, դրանք 2014 թվականից անցկացվում են ամեն տարի:

Մելանյա Թրամփի հետ միասին ամերիկյան թիմին աջակցելու են ուղեւորվել պետքարտուղարի առաջին տեղակալ Ջոն Սալիվանը եւ վետերանների գործերի նախարար Դեւիդ Շուլկինը: Ընդամենն այս տարի խաղերին մասնակցել են շուրջ 100 ամերիկացիներ:

Ավելի ուշ ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփն ինքը Twitter-ում լուսանկարներ Է հրապարակել այս հանդիպումից: «Շատ եմ հպարտանում մեր առաջին տիկինով: Նա իսկապես մեր երկրի հիանալի ներկայացուցիչն Է»,-նշել Է նա:

Այնուհետեւ Մելանյա Թրամփը հանդիպման Է գնացել ԱՄՆ-ի թիմի անդամների հետ: «Դուք այնքան շատ բան եք արել ձեր երկրի համար: Դուք մեր իսկական հերոսներն եք»,- ասել Է նա՝ շնորհակալություն հայտնելով նաեւ նրանց ընտանիքներին: Իսկ արդեն երեկոյան առաջին տիկինը ժամանել Է «Աննվաճների խաղերի» բացման արարողությանը՝ այնտեղ շփվելով Թրյուդոյի ու նրա տիկնոջ հետ:
