Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանն այսօր ընդունել է Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության կրթության և գիտության նախարար Օլգա Վասիլևային: Հանրապետության Նախագահը, ողջունելով հյուրին մեր երկրում, նշել է, որ հումանիտար համագործակցության հարցերը, այդ թվում՝ կրթության և գիտության ոլորտներում, կարևոր տեղ են զբաղեցնում հայ-ռուսական ռազմավարական գործընկերության օրակարգում:

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ Նախագահի աշխատակազմի հասարակայնության և տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից, Սերժ Սարգսյանը հույս է հայտնել, որ նախարարի այցը նոր ազդակ կհաղորդի այդ համագործակցությանը: «Ինչպես ամենուր, մենք ևս Հայաստանում մեծ կարևորություն ենք տալիս կրթական համակարգի զարգացմանը, և այդ համակարգի առջև բարձր որակավորմամբ ու աշխատաշուկայում պահանջարկ ունեցող մասնագետների պատրաստման խնդիր ենք դնում: Իհարկե, այստեղ կան բազմաթիվ խնդիրներ, և մենք ձգտում ենք դրանք լուծել՝ համագործակցելով նաև մեր բարեկամների և գործընկերների հետ»,- ՌԴ կրթության և գիտության նախարարի հետ հանդիպմանն ասել է Նախագահ Սարգսյանը:

Նախարար Օլգա Վասիլևան նշել է, որ կրթության, գիտության, մշակույթի ոլորտներում հայ-ռուսական համագործակցությունը պատմական խորը արմատներ ունի, այդ իսկ պատճառով, առկա ամուր հիմքի վրա այն երկուստեք շարունակաբար զարգացնելն ու ընդլայնելն ավելի դյուրին է: 

ՌԴ նախարարը Հանրապետության Նախագահին տեղեկացրել է իր այցի շրջանակներում հայ գործընկերոջ հետ ունեցած քննարկման արդյունքները, ընդգծելով, որ պայմանավորվածություն է ձեռք բերվել համագործակցության ընդլայնման նպատակով հումանիտար մասնագիտությունների գծով կրթությունից բացի աշխատանք տանել և փորձի փոխանակում իրականացնել ինժեներատեխնիկական մասնագիտությունների զարգացման ուղղությամբ: Այդ համատեքստում նախարար Վասիլևան հիացմունքով է խոսել Հայաստանի հանրակրթական դպրոցներում տարրական դասարաններից սկսած շախմատը՝ որպես պարտադիր ուսումնական առարկա դասավանդելու մասին, որը զգալիորեն նպաստում է այդ երեխաների շրջանում մաթեմատիկայի իմացության մակարդակի բարձրացմանը, ինչի վկայությունն են, ըստ նախարարի, մաթեմատիկայի գծով համաշխարհային առարկայական օլիմպիադաներում վերջին տարիներին Հայաստանի աշակերտների արձանագրած հաջողությունները: ՌԴ կրթության և գիտության նախարարը նշել է, որ անելու է ամեն հնարավորը՝ այդ պրակտիկան Ռուսաստանի հանրակրթական դպրոցներում ևս կիրառելու համար:

Հանդիպմանը Հանրապետության Նախագահը և ՌԴ նախարարը մտքեր են փոխանակել կրթության և գիտության ոլորտներում համագործակցության զարգացման ծրագրերի, փորձի փոխանակման, բարձրորակ կադրերի պատրաստման հարցերի շուրջ:
