Երևանի քաղաքապետարանի առաջարկությամբ  «Մեգերյան կարպետ» ընկերության կողմից մայրաքաղաքի Կարապի լճի հարևանությամբ բացվել է հայկական վիշապագորգի խճանկարը: Գույնզգույն և կիսաթանկարժեք քարերով պատրաստված խճանկարի հանդիսավոր բացման արարողությանը ներկա է գտնվել նաև Երևանի քաղաքապետ Տարոն Մարգարյանը: Վիշապագորգի խճանկարը պատրաստվել է շուրջ 900 հազար կտոր քարերից, որոնք ներառում են մարմար, գրանիտ, ազուրիտ, տուֆ-ավազաքար: «Մեգերյան կարպետ» ընկերության նախագահ Րաֆֆի Մեգերյանը ողջույնի իր խոսքում շնորհակալություն է հայտնել Երևանի քաղաքապետին ընկերության ծրագրերին մշտապես աջակցելու համար՝ ընդգծելով, որ քաղաքապետարանի այս առաջարկը յուրօրինակ քայլ, ինչպես նաև ևս մեկ հնարավորություն է հայկական մշակութային ժառանգությունը նաև այս կերպ ներկայացնելու համար: 

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին Երևանի քաղաքապետարանի տեղեկատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապերի վարչությունից, Երևանի քաղաքապետի խորհրդական, Երևան քաղաքի գլխավոր դիզայներ Գագա Ամատունին էլ նշել է, որ սա Երևանի քաղաքապետարան-մասնավոր հատված համագործակցության ևս մեկ հաջողված օրինակ է, ինչն ունենալու է նաև շարունակություն:

Հարկ է նշել, որ այս խճանկարում արտացոլված է Լոնդոնի պատմության թանգարանում գտնվող 16-րդ դարի հայկական վիշապագորգը։
