Արաբական պետությունների լիգայի գլխավոր քարտուղար Ահմեդ Աբուլ Գեյթը Իրաքի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Իբրահիմ Ջաֆարիի հետ կայացած հեռախոսազրույցի ընթացքում համարաբական կազմակերպության օգնությունն Է առաջարկել Իրաքյան Քրդստանի շուրջ ստեղծված իրադրության կարգավորման խնդրում: Այդ մասին ասված Է ԱՊԼ-ի տարածած հայտարարության մեջ, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը:

«Խոսակցությունը վերաբերել Է հանրաքվեից հետո Իրաքում ստեղծված իրադրությանը: Գլխավոր քարտուղարը հետաքրքրվել Է այդ հարցում Իրաքի կառավարության դիրքորոշմամբ, ինչպես նաեւ ճշտել Է, թե ԱՊԼ-ն ինչ կարող Է անել Իրաքի միասնությունը պահպանելու նպատակով… Գլխավոր քարտուղարը լիակատար պատրաստակամություն հայտնեց գործուն դեր խաղալ այդ գործընթացում»,- ասված Է փաստաթղթում:

Իրաքյան Քրդստանը Քրդական ինքնավար շրջանի ոչ պաշտոնական անվանումն Է, որի կարգավիճակը իրավաբանորեն ամրագրված Է Իրաքի Սահմանադրության մեջ: Այն Դահուկի, Սուլեյմանիայի եւ Էրբիլի նահանգներում քրդերի Էթնիկ բնակության գոտին Է երկրի հյուսիսում եւ հյուսիս-արեւելքում: Սեպտեմբերի 25-ին տարածաշրջանում կայացել Է անկախության հանրաքվե, որի արդյունքում 3,44 մլն մասնակիցների ավելի քան 92 տոկոսը քվեարկել Է ինքնիշխան պետության ստեղծման օգտին:

Հանրաքվեի անցկացմանը դեմ Էին Իրաքի կենտրոնական կառավարությունը՝ այն համարելով ոչ սահմանադրական, ինչպես նաեւ Անկարան եւ Թեհրանը, որոնք հանդես են գալիս արաբական երկրի միասնության օգտին: Տվյալ փուլում հանրաքվեն անտեղի են համարում Վաշինգտոնում եւ եվրոպական մի շարք երկրներում, քանի որ այն, նրանց համոզմամբ, խարխլում Է ահաբեկչության դեմ մղվող պայքարը եւ տարածաշրջանի անվտանգությունը, հաղորդել Է ՌԻԱ Նովոստին:
