ՀՀ արտակարգ իրավիճակների նախարար Դավիթ Տոնոյանը հոկտեմբերի 9-ին ընդունեց ՄԱԿ-ի Մարդասիրական գործերի համակարգման գրասենյակի (UNOCHA) Կենտրոնական Ասիայի և Կովկասի տարածաշրջանային գրասենյակի  ղեկավար Մարսել Վասենին և նույն կառույցի Հայաստանի, Վրաստանի և Թուրքմենստանի Աղետներին արձագանքման գծով ազգային խորհրդական Աշոտ Սարգսյանին: Այս մասին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ արտակարգ իրավիճակների նախարարությունից:

Հանդիպման ընթացքում քննարկվեցին դեռ փետրվարի 26-ին ՀՀ կառավարության և Միավորված ազգերի կազմակերպության միջև կնքված աղետների և արտակարգ իրավիճակների ժամանակ մարդասիրական օգնության բեռների ու մարդասիրական օգնություն իրականացնող անձնակազմի գույքի ներմուծումը, արտահանումը և տարանցումը պարզեցված կարգով կազմակերպելու մասին համաձայնագրի հիման վրա Հայաստանի օրենսդրական դաշտի բարելավման հնարավորությունները: ՄԱԿ-ի Մարդասիրական գործերի համակարգման գրասենյակը օժանդակելու է Հայաստանի Հանրապետությանը աղետների ժամանակ հումանիտար օգնության պլանների մշակման և հումանիտար աջակցության կիազմակերպման հարցերում:

Կողմերը կարևորեցին համագործակցությունը տարածաշրջանային մակարդակում՝ ընդգծելով, որ հարևան երկրների միջև սերտ համագործակցությունը նպաստում է տարածաշրջանում աղետների ռիսկի նվազեցմանն ու աղետներին ընդհանուր դիմակայունության բարձրացմանը. որպես տարածաշրջանային համագործակցության վառ օրինակ նշվեց սույն թվականի օգոստոսին հայ հրշեջ-փրկարարների ներգրավվածությունը Վրաստանում անտառային հրդեհների հրդեհաշիջման աշխատանքներին:

Համագործակցության խորացման համատեքստում քննարկվեցին նաև ՀՀ ԱԻՆ աշխատակիցների վերապատրաստման և փորձի փոխանակման հնարավորությունները:
