Ռիչարդ Միլսը մատնանշեց Հայաստանի ձեռքբերումների թվում ԱՄՆ ՄԶԳ ունեցած դերակատարումը

Հայաստանում Ամերիկայի դեսպան Ռիչարդ Միլսն ուրախ է, որ ՀՀ կառավարությունը կոռուպցիայի դեմ պայքարը գերակա խնդիր է հռչակել և այդ ուղղությամբ քայլեր են իրականացնում: Նա այս մասին ասաց՝ Հայաստանի եւ ԱՄՆ միջազգային զարգացման գործակալության միջև համագործակցության 25-ամյակին նվիրված միջոցառման շրջանակում պատասխանելով լրագրողների հարցերին:

«Դեռեւս 1992 թվականին պետքարտուղարությունում ես այն պաշտոնյան էի, որ Հայաստանի հետ կապված հարցերով էր զբաղվում եւ առաջին պաշտոնյան էի, ով հետեւում էր Հայաստանյան զարգացումներին՝ ամենօրյա կտրվածքով:

Որպես օտարերկրացի, ես ավելի հստակ տեսնում եմ այն փաստերը, այն առաջընթացը, որ այս 25 տարիների ընթացքում կատարվել է եւ այդ առաջընթացում զգալիորեն մեծ ներդրում է ունեցել ԱՄՆ ՄԶԳ –ն: Այս տարիների ընթացքում ԱՄՆ ՄԶԳ աշխատանքի ուշադրության կենտրոնում են եղել նաեւ կոռուպցիայի դեմ քայլերը եւ Կառավարության աշխատանքը հասարակությանը մատուցվող ծառայությունների հանդեպ», - նշեց դեսպանը:

Ռիչարդ Միլսի դիտարկմամբ՝ այս տարիների ընթացքում համագործակցության շրջանակում գրանցված ձեռքբերումները շատ են եղել, չնայած դեռ շատ անելիքներ կան։

Անդրադառնալով գործակալության կողմից Հայաստանի տրամադրող օժանդակությանը, որը այս 25 տարիների ընթացքում կազմել է 1 մլրդ դոլար, դեսպան Միլսը նշեց, որ գումարը տարեցտարի փոփոխվում է։

«Մեր նպատակը երբեւէ չի եղել այն, որն ՄԶԳ-ն Հայաստանում մշտապես լինի, այլ փորձ է արվել օգնել ձեւավորել կարողություններ, մեխանիզմներ, որոնք թույլ կտան, որ Հայաստանը զբաղվի տարաբնույթ հարցերով:

Մեծ ուրախությամբ ուզում եմ նշել, որ գալիք տարվա ընթացքում Հայաստանին տրվող գումարը մեծանալու է, բայց պետք է նաեւ գիտակցել, որ ԱՄՆ ՄԶԳ-ն Հայաստանում մշտապես չի լինելու», - եզրափակեց դեսպանը։
