Թուրքիայի նախկին վարչապետ Ահմեթ Դավութօղլուն ներկայացրել է իրաքյան Քիրկուկի խնդրի հանգուցալուծմանն ուղղված առաջարկների ցանկ, որոնք հրապարակելով՝ հայտարարել է, որ դա իր պատմական պարտքն է համարում:

Ինչպես գրում է gazeteduvar.com.tr կայքը, Դավութօղլուն կոչ է արել Քիրկուկում հակամարտող կողմերին խուսափել միակողմանի քայլերից և որդեգրել դիրքորոշում, որը հաշվի կառնի Քիրկուկում ապրող բոլոր ժողովուրդների և կրոնական խմբերի պահանջներն ու հայացքները:

Ըստ Դավութօղլուի՝ Իրաքյան Քրդստանը պետք է նաև հրաժարվի սեպտեմբերի 25-ին անցկացված անկախության վերաբերյալ հանրաքվեի արդյունքներից՝ այս զիջումը դարձնելով Բաղդադի հետ բանակցությունների գնալու առաջին քայլը:

Նախկին վարչապետը շեշտել է, որ Քիրկուկում, ինչպես նաև դրա մերձակայքում ցանկացած տիպի ուժի կիրառում պետք է դադարեցվի: 

Ըստ նրա՝ Քիրկուկն Իրաքյան Քրդստանի մաս դարձնելն անթույլատրելի է, սակայն էթնիկ պատկանելիության և մի շարք այլ առումներով Քիրկուկը չի կարող մնալ նաև Իրաքի շարքային մարզ: Դավութօղլուն համոզված է, որ Քիրկուկի համար լավագույն տարբերակն առանձին կարգավիճակի ստացումն է՝ չխախտելով Իրաքի տարածքային ամբողջականությունը:
