Քիրքուքից հետո իրաքյան բանակը քրդական ուժերից հետ է վերցրել Նինվե նահանգը՝ իր վերահսկողության տակ առնելով դեպի Մոսուլ ելքը, այս մասին հայտնում է բրիտանական Reuters գործակալությունը:

Նինվեն «Իսլամական պետություն» ահաբեկչական խմբավորումից ազատագրվել էր այս տարվա օգոստոսին և այդ ժամանակվանից ի վեր գտնվում էր քրդական «փեշմարգա» ուժերի հսկողության տակ:

Ավելի վաղ պարզ էր դարձել, որ «փեշմարգա»-ն կորցրել է նաև եզդիաբնակ Շենգալի (Սինջարի) շրջանը, որտեղ իրաքյան բանակին աջակցել են եզդիների զինված խմբավորումները:

Հիշեցնենք, որ օրերս Իրաքի ուժերը սկսել են երկրի հյուսիսում գտնվող թուրքմեններով, արաբներով և քրդերով բնակեցված Քիրքուք շրջանի վրա գրոհը, որն Իրաքյան Քրդստանի ու Իրաքի միջև վիճելի տարածքներից մեկն է համարվում: Կարճ ժամանակ անց իրաքյան բանակին հաջողվել է վերահսկողություն սահմանել Քիրքուքի օդանավակայանի և կարևոր նավթահանքերի օբյեկտների նկատմամբ:

Նշենք, որ Քիրքուքը պաշտոնապես Իրաքյան Քրդստանի մաս չի կազմել, սակայն տեղի քրդերը մասնակցել են անկախության հանրաքվեին:

Օրեր առաջ Իրաքի իշխանությունները մեղադրել են Իրաքյան Քրդստանի ղեկավարությանը դեպի Քիրքուք ոչ պետական ուժեր և մասնավորապես՝ Թուրքիայում ահաբեկչական հայտարարված «Քրդստանի աշխատավորական կուսակցություն» խմբավորման զինյալներ տեղափոխելու համար: Իրաքի անվտանգության հարցով նախարարական խորհուրդը նշել է, որ դրանով իսկ Իրաքյան Քրդստանը պատերազմ է հայտարարում մյուս իրաքցիներին և մնացյալ ուժերին:

Իրաքյան բանակի գրոհից հետո քրդական «փեշմարգա»-ն զանգվածայնորեն նահանջել է իր զբաղեցրած դիրքերից: Ականատեսները պնդում են, որ նույն օրը շուրջ 100.000 քուրդ լքել է իրաքյան Քիրքուքը: Քիրքուքից դուրս եկած քրդերին տեղափոխող բազմաթիվ մեքենաներ հիմնականում շարժվել են դեպի Իրաքյան Քրդստանի Էրբիլ և Սուլեյմանիյա քաղաքներ:
