Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի նախագահները Ժնևում կայացած հանդիպման ընթացքում համաձայնել են միջոցներ ձեռնարկել բանակցային գործընթացն ինտենսիֆիկացնելու ուղղությամբ և հավելյալ քայլեր իրականացնել՝ նվազեցնելու լարվածությունը շփման գծում: Եվրոպայի հայկական չորրորդ համագումարում ունեցած ելույթում այս մասին ասել է ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի նախարար Էդվարդ Նալբանդյանը: «Ղարաբաղյան հակամարտության խաղաղ հանգուցալուծումը Հայաստանի արտաքին քաղաքական օրակարգի ամենամեծ առաջնահերթություններից է: Ինչպես գիտեք, երեք օր առաջ Ժնևում գագաթաժողով է անցկացվել Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի նախագահների միջև: Ինչ վերաբերում է բուն հանդիպման արդյունքներին, ապա դրանք արտացոլված են արտգործնախարարների և համանախագահների համատեղ հայտարարության մեջ: Հանդիպումն անցավ կառուցողական մթնոլորտում: Նախագահները համաձայնեցին միջոցներ ձեռնարկել բանակցային գործընթացն ինտենսիֆիկացնելու ուղղությամբ և հավելյալ քայլեր իրականացնել՝ նվազեցնելու լարվածությունը շփման գծում: Համանախագահներն իրենց գոհունակությունը հայտնեցին երկար ընդմիջումից հետո տեղի ունեցած այս ուղիղ բանակցությունների կապակցությամբ: Նրանք պատրաստակամություն հայտնեցին աշխատելու կողմերի հետ ղարաբաղյան հակամարտության խաղաղ բանակցային հանգուցալուծման միջնորդության ուղղությամբ: Որպես հաջորդ քայլ, մոտ ապագայում համանախագահներն աշխատանքային հանդիպումներ են կազմակերպելու ԱԳ նախարարների հետ»,- «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ` ասել է նախարարը։

Նա ընդգծել է, որ հայկական կողմը մշտապես հանդես է եկել և գալիս խաղաղ բանակցային հանգուցալուծման և լարվածության նվազեցման օգտին, և այս ամենն արտացոլվել է համատեղ հայտարարության մեջ: Շուրջ տասնվեց ամիս ընդմիջումից հետո ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահների հմուտ միջնորդությամբ հնարավոր եղավ կազմակերպել նախագահների հանդիպումը, որը ինքնին կարելի է դրական գնահատել։ Մոտ չորս տարվա ընթացքում առաջին անգամ հնարավոր եղավ, թեկուզ և բավական հակիրճ, համատեղ հայտարարություն ընդունել Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի արտգործնախարարների և համանախագահների մասնակցությամբ: Ինչպես գիտեք, նախկինում Հայաստանը բազմիցս իր պատրաստակամությունն էր հայտնել միանալու համանախագահների հայտարարություններին, սակայն Ադրբեջանը մշտապես հրաժարվում էր հանդես գալ համատեղ հայտարարությամբ»,- նշել է Նալբանդյանը:
