ԿԺԴՀ-ն մշակել Է միջմայրցամաքային բալիստիկ հրթիռներ, որոնք կարող են հասնել Եվրոպայի երկրների տարածք: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, հայտարարել Է Սինձո Աբեն՝ ելույթ ունենալով ՆԱՏՕ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղար Յենս Ստոլտենբերգի հետ Տոկիոյում կայացած հանդիպմանը: «ԿԺԴՀ-ն մշակել Է միջմայրցամաքային բալիստիկ հրթիռներ, որոնք կարող են հասնել Եվրոպա:

Դա ողջ միջազգային հանրակցության առջեւ ծառացած լուրջ սպառնալիք Է»,-նրա խոսքը մեջբերել Է Kyodo գործակալությունը: Ամփոփելով բանակցությունների արդյունքները՝ Աբեն դարձյալ կրկնել Է, որ «ներկայում անհրաժեշտ Է ոչ թե երկխոսություն վարել, այլ առավելագույնս ուժեղացնել ճնշումը՝ ստիպելու Հյուսիսային Կորեային հրաժարվել իր միջուկային եւ հրթիռային ծրագրերից»:

Այս դրույթը հնչել Է նաեւ Ճապոնիայի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Տարո Կոնոյի եւ պաշտպանության նախարար Իցունորի Օնոդերայի հետ Ստոլտենբերգի հանդիպման արդյունքների ամփոփման ժամանակ: Ճապոնիայի վարչապետը եւ ՆԱՏՕ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղարը համատեղ հայտարարության մեջ ԿԺԴՀ-ից պահանջել են դադարեցնել նրա հրթիռամիջուկային ծրագիրը, իսկ ՄԱԿ-ի անդամ երկրները կոչ են արել՝ «ամբողջությամբ ու թափանցիկ կատարել ՄԱԿ-ի Անվտանգության խորհրդի համապատասխան բանաձեւերը», հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
