Ռուսաստանը պատրաստ է Ֆիլիպինների հետ ռազմատեխնիկական համագործակցություն զարգացնել։ Այս մասին ասել է ՌԴ նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինը Վիետնամում Ասիա-Խաղաղօվկիանոսյան գագաթնաժողովի շրջանակում Ֆիլիպինների նախագահ Ռոդրիգո Դուտերտեի հետ հանդիպման ժամանակ, փոխանցում է ՏԱՍՍ–ը։

«Հիշում եմ, թե ինչպես Դուք ստիպված եղաք ընդհատել այցը Ռուսաստան Ձեր երկրում ահաբեկչական հարձակման պատճառով, եւ ես հիշում եմ, որ Դուք հեռանալիս ինձ ասացիք, որ պետք է կարգուկանոն հաստատել, հարված հասցնել այդ ահաբեկիչներին։ Ուզում եմ շնորհավորել Ձեզ. դա հաջողվել է»,– ասել է Պուտինը։

ՌԴ նախագահը ահաբեկչության դեմ պայքարը Ռուսաստանի եւ Ֆիլիպինների ընդհանուր խնդիրն է համարում։

«Այս կապակցությամբ պատրաստ ենք զարգացնել մեր հարաբերությունները այդ թվում՝ ռազմական ոլորտում, ռազմատեխնիկական բնագավառում եւ, բնականաբար, հատուկ ուշադրություն պետք է հատկացնենք տնտեսական կապերին»,– ասել է Պուտինը։

Նա նշել է, որ Ռուսաստանի եւ Ֆիլիպինների տնտեսական կապերը ցածր մակարդակի վրա են, թեպետ վերջին շրջանում աճի միտում կա։
