Սաուդյան Արաբիայի թագաժառանգ արքայազն Մուհամեդ բեն Սալման Ալ Սաուդը նոյեմբերի 26-ին հայտարարել է նոր իսլամական հակաահաբեկչական կոալիցիայի աշխատանքի մեկնարկի մասին, որի մեջ պաշտոնապես մտնում է 41 պետություն, հայտնում է Deutsche Welle գործակալությունը:

Կոալիցիայի անդամները պատրաստվում են միավորել իրենց «ռազմական, ֆինանսական և քաղաքական ջանքերը»՝ ահաբեկչությանը դիմադրելու համար: Ինչպես նշել է Մուհամեդ բեն Սալմանը, համագործակցելու են նաև նրանց հատուկ ծառայությունները:

Ռազմական դաշինքի մեջ հիմնականում մտնում են սուննի երկրները, դաշինքի մեջ չեն մտնում ո՛չ Իրանը, ո՛չ Իրաքը, ո՛չ Սիրիան:

Արաբական մի շարք երկրների կողմից բոյկոտի ենթարկված Քաթարը, որը նախկինում մասնակցում էր ռազմական կոալիցիաներին, նույնպես բացակայում է:
