Հռոմի Ֆրանցիսկոս պապը նոյեմբերի 27-ին առաքելական այցով ժամանել Է Մյանմա՝ դառնալով Հռոմի կաթոլիկ եկեղեցու՝ այս երկիր ժամանած առաջին ղեկավարը, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը:

Քահանայապետի ինքնաթիռը վայրԷջք Է կատարել Մյանմայի խոշորագույն քաղաքի՝ Յանգոնի օդանավակայանում: Ֆրանցիսկոսի այցն ուղիղ եթերով ցուցադրել Է տեղական MITV հեռուստաալիքը: Տեղի բնակիչները քահանայապետի ժամանմանն սպասում Էին Յանգոնի փողոցներում եւ օդանավակայանի շենքի մոտ՝ ձեռքներին բռնած նրա դիմանկարները եւ ողջույնի մակագրություններով պլակատներ:
