Դերասանուհի, հաղորդավարուհի Մերի Մակարյանն ամիսներ առաջ նշանադրվեց ու տեղափոխվեց ԱՄՆ, որտեղ բնակվում է ընտրյալը` Վարդանը։ Մերին կարևորում էր պսակադրությունը և օրեր առաջ կայացավ նրա հարսանիքը։ Դերասանուհին հարսանիքից հետո առաջին հարցազրույցը վստահել է Tert.am Life–ին ու պատմել հարսանիքի, ընտանեկան կյանքի և երեխա ունենալու ցանկության մասին։
 
–Մերի, Երևանից ուղիղ եթերներով հետևում էին հարսանիքիդ։ Կարծես թե, մեծ խնջույք էիք կազմակերպել։ Նախապատրաստական աշխատանքներով ինքնուրո՞ւյն ես զբաղվել։ Ինչպե՞ս ես ընտրել զգեստդ, որը ամենակարևոր «խնդիրն» է հարսնացուների համար։
 
–Զգեստի ընտրությունը ես ու սկեսուրս ենք արել։ Այն կարվել է հատուկ ինձ համար։
 
Հայաստանում նշանադրությունն կազմակերպել էինք ես ու ամուսինս, զգեստս իմ ընտրությամբ իրենք էին ուղարկել ԱՄՆ–ից։ Երևանն իմ հարազատ քաղաքն էր, ամեն ինչի տեղը գիտեի։ Այստեղ ամեն ինչ անծանոթ էր։ Ես շատ երջանիկ եմ, քանի որ մեծ օգնություն եմ ստացել սկեսուրիս և ամուսնուս կողմից։ Այստեղ ինձ համար ամեն ինչ նոր էր։ Հարսանիքի ոճով իրենք են զբաղվել։ Իհարկե, ես տվել եմ իմ համաձայնությունը, սակայն քիչ եմ մասնակցել այդ ամենին։ Ես վստահում էի իրենց։ Շատ շնորհակալ եմ բոլոր նրանց, ովքեր այդ օրը կողքիս էին։
 
300 հոգանոց հարսանիք էր։ Գործընկերներիցս երգեցին Արսեն Գրիգորյանը, Ջոնի Կարապետյանը, Սուրեն Ավոյանը, Լիլուն, Նարեկ Մակարյանը, Թաթուլ Ավոյանը։ Ինձ համար շատ զարմանալի էր, որովհետև էդպիսի առիթներին շատերն իրար չեն ճանաչում, բայց բոլորն ուրախանում էին, պարում։ Ես ու Վարդանն էլ ենք ակտիվ պարել։ Բոլորը պարահրապարակում էին։ Մեր հյուրերից մեկն ասում էր` նույնիսկ տղայիս հարսանիքին այսպես չեմ պարել։
