Իսրայելական Yesh Atid կուսակցության առաջնորդ Յաիր Լապիդը հայտարարել է, որ Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանը, ով ժխտում է Հայոց ցեղասպանության ընթացքում երեխաների սպանության փաստը, չի կարող դասեր տալ Իսրայելին: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, այս մասին կուսակցության առաջնորդը գրառում է կատարել թվիթերյան իր միկրոբլոգում:

Գրառումը հաջորդել է Էրդողանի հայտարարությանը, որում նա Իսրայելն անվանել էր «ահաբեկչական պետություն»:

«Թուրքիայի նախագահ Էրդողանն Իսրայելն անվանում է «ահաբեկչական պետություն, որը սպանում է երեխաներին»: Այն անձը, ով հերքում է Հայոց ցեղասպանության ընթացքում երեխաների սպանդը, մեզ դասեր տալու իրավունք չունի»,- գրել է Լապիդը:

Նա ավելի վաղ՝ 2017 թվականի հուլիսին դիմել էր Իսրայելի ղեկավարությանը՝ հորդորելով պաշտոնապես ճանաչել Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը:

Ավելի վաղ Էրդողանի հայտարարությանը պատասխանել էր նաև Իսրայելի վարչապետ Բենյամին Նեթանյահուն, ով Էրդողանի խոսքերը որակել էր որպես «հարձակում Իսրայելի դեմ»: «Սեփական երկրում քրդական գյուղերը ռմբակոծող, լրագրողներին բանտարկող, Գազզայում ահաբեկիչներին օգնող ու անմեղներին սպանող ղեկավարից բարոյականության դասեր չպետք է քաղեմ»,- ասել էր նա:
