Ազգային ժողովի փոխնախագահ Էդուարդ Շարմազանովն արձագանքել է Ադրբեջանի նախագահի խորհրդական Ալի Հասանովի հայտարարությանը, թե Բաքուն պատրաստ է Լեռնային Ղարաբաղին տալ ավելի ընդարձակ ինքնավարություն: ՀՀԿ ԳՄ նիստից հետո լրագրողների հետ հանդիպմանը Էդուարդ Շարմազանովը կարծիք հայտնեց, որ Ադրբեջանում էլ շատ լավ հասկանում են, որ նման հայտարարությունները հիմնազուրկ են և անհեթեթ: «Ի՞նչ է նշանակում Ադրբեջանը պատրաստ է Լեռնային Ղարաբաղին տալ ինքնավարության ավելի բարձր կարգավիճակ: Ինչպե՞ս կարող է մի պետությունը մեկ այլ անկախ պետության տալ ինչ-որ կարգավիճակ: Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի Հանրապետությունը փաստացի անկախ պետությունն է, և Լեռնային Ղարաբաղն ու Ադրբեջանը նույն օրենսդրական հիմքերով փաստացի առանձնացել են Խորհրդային Միությունից»,- շեշտեց ՀՀ ԱԺ փոխնախագահը:

Շարմազանովը կարծում է, որ դա եղել է ընդամենը հայտարարություն ներքին սպառման համար, սակայն ուշացած է, հիմնազուրկ և ոչինչ չտվող: «Կա Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահության ձևաչափ, կան երեք սկզբունքներ, որտեղ հստակ ամրագրված է ինքնորոշման իրավունքի իրացումը, կա նաև ՀԱՊԿ-ի դեկտեմբերյան հայտարարությունը, որտեղ ընդունվում է ինքնորոշման իրավունքի ամբողջական իրացման գաղափարը, նաև նոյեմբերի 24-ին Արևելյան գործընկերության գագաթնաժողովից հետո ընդունված հայտարարությունը, որտեղ ևս նշվում է երեք սկզբունքների միասնական կիրառման մասին: Այս իմաստով նման հայտարարություններն անիմաստ են, որոնք իրականության հետ որևէ կապ չունեն: Չի կարող մի անկախ երկիրը մեկ այլ անկախ երկրի տրամադրել կարգավիճակ»,- ասաց Էդուարդ Շարմազանովը:

Նա շեշտեց, որ բանակցությունները գնում են, իսկ Հայաստանը հաստատ դրա շուրջ չի բանակցում: «Հայաստանը բանակցում է երկու կարևոր հարցերի շուրջ, ինչի մասին խոսել է Հայաստանի Նախագահը Ժնևում Շվեյցարիայի հայ համայնքի հետ հանդիպման ժամանակ: Նա հստակ նշել է, որ Արցախը որևէ կարգավիճակով չի կարող լինել Ադրբեջանի մաս: Երկրորդը՝ Արցախի ժողովրդի անվտանգության երաշխիքները մեզ համար շատ կարևոր են: Այս երկու հարցերում Հայաստանը և Արցախը որևէ զիջման գնալու խնդիր չունեն: Եթե ադրբեջանցիները փորձում են սա ներկայացնել որպես փոխզիջում, ընդամենը մի բան կարող ենք ասել՝ բարև ձեզ»,- եզրափակեց ԱԺ փոխնախագահը:
