The Daily Telegraph-ը վերջերս կազմել է մոլորակի 23 ամենագեղեցիկ եկեղեցիների ցուցակը: Բրիտանական թերթը առաջին հորիզոնականին է արժանացրել կոլումբիական Լաս Լահաս տաճարին, որը կառուցվել է 1916-1949 թվականներին: Այն կառուցվել է նույն այն վայրում, որտեղ 1754 թ. ժայռի վրա հայտնվեց Սուրբ Մարիամի լուսավոր կերպարանքը: Սուրբ Աստվածածինը Կոլումբիայի հնդկացիների գլխավոր սուրբն է համարվում, ով պաշտպանում է նրանց տարածքներն ու նրանց թագուհին է հանդիսանում: Պատվավոր երկրորդ հորիզոնականը The Daily Telegraph-ը շնորհել է Նորվեգիայում գտնվող Բորգունդ Լերդալ փայտե եկեղեցուն: Դրա կառուցումն իրականացել է 1180-1250 թթ. ընկած ժամանակահատվածում:

The Daily Telegraph-ն ուշադրությունից դուրս չի թողել նաև հայկական եկեղեցիներին: Դրանցից երեքը ներառվել են աշխարհի ամենագեղեցիկ 23 տաճարների ցուցակում: Մասնավորապես՝ երրորդ պատվավոր հորիզոնակում Իրանում գտնվող հայկական Բեթղեհեմի տաճարն է: Այն կառուցվել է հայ առևտրական Պետրոս Վալիջանյանի միջոցներով: Տաճարը գտնվում է Սպահանում, և դրա կառուցումը թվագրվում է 17-րդ դարին: Այն առանձնանում է հետաքրքիր և աննկարագրելի գեղեցիկ որմնանկարներով, ինչպես նաև յուրահատուկ գմբեթով:

Մոլորակի 23 ամենագեղեցիկ եկեղեցիների ցանկում իր տեղն է զբաղեցրել նաև Սուրբ Ստեփանոսի հայկական տաճարը, որը կրկին գտնվում է Իրանում: 9-րդ դարի այս վանական համալիրը գտնվում է Մագարդա լեռան լանջին՝ Արաքս գետի աջ ափին: Ըստ 12-րդ դարի պատմիչ Միքայել Ասորիի՝ եկեղեցին հիմնել է Բարդուղիմեոս առաքյալը: Երկրաշարժերի հետևանքով մասնակիորեն քանդվելու արդյունքում այն մի քանի անգամ վերանորոգվել է: Այս եկեղեցին ևս առանձնանում է յուրօրինակ որմնանկարներով և քանդակագործական պատկերներով: Եկեղեցին կառուցված է բազալտային տուֆից: Ի դեպ՝ Իրանում գտնվող Սուրբ Ստեփանոսի տաճարը 2008 թ. ի վեր ընդգրկվել է ՅՈՒՆԵՍԿՕ-ի Համաշխարհային ժառանգության օբյեկտների ցանկում:

The Daily Telegraph-ն առանձնացրել է նաև Բեթղեհեմում գտնվող Սուրբ Ծննդյան տաճարը, որը թվագրվում է 4-րդ դարին: Համաձայն լեգենդի՝ տաճարը կառուցվել է այն վայրում, որտեղ ծնվել է Քրիստոսը: Սուրբ Հարության տաճարի հետ միասին Սուրբ Ծննդյան տաճարը համարվում է Սուրբ երկրի գլխավոր քրիստոնեական կենտրոններից: Այստեղ է գտնվում Բեթղեհեմյան աստղը՝ Հիսուս Քրիստոսի ծննդյան խորհրդանիշն ու ամբողջ աշխարհի քրիստոնյաների խոնարհման վայրը: Տաճարի սյուներից մի քանիսի վրա պահպանվել են սրբապատկերներ, որոնք անմիջապես քարի վրա արված են յուղաներկերով: Սուրբ Ծննդյան տաճարը ևս մտնում է ՅՈՒՆԵՍԿՕ-ի Համաշխարհային մշակութային ժառանգության օբյեկտների ցանկի մեջ: Այն պատկանում է Երուսաղեմի ուղղափառ, Հայկական առաքելական և Հռոմեական-կաթոլիկ եկեղեցիներին: Հայկական առաքելական եկեղեցուն է պատկանում տաճարի հարավարևմտյան հատվածը, որտեղ գտնվում  է զոհասեղանը:
