ԱՄՆ-Թուրքիա հարաբերություններն այս փուլում բարեկամական չես համարի: Թուրքիան կարծես ամեն ինչ անում է, դրանք էլ ավելի վատ հունով տանելու համար: Մի կողմից կարելի է հասկանալ Էրդողանին: Նա փորձում է դուրս գալ ավանդականորեն ԱՄՆ ենթակայի կարգավիճակից և հանդես գալ որպես ինքնուրույն պետություն, որը կարող է տարածաշրջանային հարցեր լուծել:

Ինչպես հայտնի է, 7 օր առաջ Թուրքիան սկսեց «Ձիթենու ճյուղ» գործողությունը, որն ուղղված էր իբրև ահաբեկիչների դեմ: Իրականում այն ուղղակի հարված էր Սիրիային ու քրդերին: Տարածքները, որտեղ Թուրքիան իրականացնում է այդ գործողությունները, գտնվում են հիմնականում քրդերի, իսկ որոշ դեպքերում էլ ԱՄՆ-ի կողմից աջակցություն ստացող խմբերի վերահսկողության տակ: Սակայն այս հանգամանքը չի խուսափեցնում Էրդողնանին: Նա հայտարարել է, որ. «Մենք կշարունակենք այս՝ «Ձիթենու ճյուղ» գործողությունը, որ սկսվեց յոթ օր առաջ, քանի դեռ չենք հասել մեր բոլոր թիրախներին: Աֆրինից հետո մենք կմաքրենք Մանբիջը ահաբեկիչներից, մի բան, որ մեզ խոստացվել էր, բայց այդպես էլ իրականություն չդարձավ: Թող սա որևէ մեկին չմտահոգի, որովհետև Մանբիջի իրական տերերը ոչ թե այդ ահաբեկիչներն են, այլ մեր արաբ եղբայրները: Եվ մենք կշարունակենք մեր պայքարը, քանի դեռ չենք վերացրել վերջին ահաբեկչին Սիրիայի հյուսիսից մինչև Իրաքի հետ սահմանը»:

Ու՞մ է ձեռնտու այս ամենը: Թուրքական դիվանագիտությունը միշտ փայլել է: Նրանք երբեք չեն մտնում հիմնական դաշնակցային հարաբերությունների մեջ: Եթե անգամ, որոշ պետությունների հետ պահում են սերտ կապեր, ապա դա բխեցնում են միայն ու միայն իրենց պետական շահերից:

Սակայն այս գործողությունները, եթե որոշակի առումով խոսում են Թուրքիայի ինքնուրույնության դիրքերից, ապա մեծ հաշվով ձեռնտու են Ռուսաստանին: Ռուսաստանը շատ լուրջ հետևում է իրադարձությունների զարգացմանը և կարելի է ասել, միջամտության կարիք էլ չունի: Թուրքիան և ԱՄՆ-ն ամեն ինչ անում են, որպեսզի այս ամենից շահի Ռուսաստանը: Սակայն ասել թե, Թուրքիան դա չի հասկանում, տարրական սխալ կլինի:
