Շշմելու ավանդույթ Ճապոնիայում, որի համար Հայաստանում առնվազն կսպանեն

Հին ժամանակներից մինչև նախորդ դարի կեսերը Ճապոնիայում «յոբայ» անունով ավանդույթ է եղել։ Դրա անունը գալիս է «յո» (գիշեր) և «բայ» (սողալ) բառերից։

Ավանդույթի իմաստն այն էր, որ երիտասարդ տղաները գիշերը մտնում էին չամուսնացած կանանց մոտ, արթնացնում էին նրանց հպումներով, ու եթե նրանք չէին ընդդիմանում, զույգը տրվում էր կրքին։

Տղամարդը պարտավոր էր գնալ ռոմանտիկ հանդիպման բացարձակապես մերկ, քանի որ հագնված տղամարդու գիշերային այցը համարվում էր կողոպուտ ու կարող էր ողբերգական ավարտ ունենալ։ Սակայն նա իրավունք ուներ փակել դեմքն ու ներկայանալ որպես անծանոթ։

Պոտենցիալ յոբայիստը պարտավոր էր ամեն ինչ անել լուռ։ Տուն լուռ մտնելու մեթոդներից էր դռան փեղկերին միզելը, որ դրանք աղմուկով չբացվեն։

Ոմանք էլ օգտվում էին առիթից ու շանսերը մեծացնելու համար, օգտվելով վատ տեսանելիությունից ու լռության պայմանից, աղջիկներին այցելում էին ուրիշի անունով, որ բացահայտման դեպքում մեծ սկանդալի մեջ չընկնեին։

Այս ավանդույթը թույլ էր տալիս երիտասարդներին հանրայնորեն մերժված չզգալ ու համաձայնության դեպքում լավ գիշեր անցկացնել։ Իսկ ամենալավն այն էր, որ այդ ավանդույթը չէր պարտավորեցնում հետո ամուսնանալ։

Շատ ծնողներ, հուսալով, որ ամեն ինչ կվերջանա հարսանիքով, չէին խոչընդոտում գիշերային կրքին, երբեմն նույնիսկ հյուրասիրություն էին պատրաստում նրանց համար։ 

Իսկ եթե ճապոնուհին «յոբայ» այցելություններ չէր ունենում, դա տագնապալից նշան էր համարվում նրա հարազատների համար։
