ՌԴ ԶՈւ հարավային ռազմական օկրուգի ռազմաբազայում նշվեց Հայրենիքի պաշտպանի օրը: Օրվա խորհրդով պայմանավորված՝ անցկացվեց հանդիսավոր հավաք: Շնորհավորական ուղերձներով հանդես եկան նաև Հայաստանում 102-րդ ռազմական բազայի հրամանատար գնդապետ Վլադիմիր Ելկանովը, Միացյալ խմբավորման զորքերի նորանշանակ հրամանատար գեներալ-մայոր Տիգրան Փարվանյանը, Գյումրու քաղաքապետ Սամվել Բալասանյանը, այլք: Օրվա ընթացքում շատ մաղթանքներ ու ցանկություններ հնչեցին, սակայն հիմնականը մեկն էր՝ խաղաղություն ու կայունություն:

«Ամեն տարի փետրվարի 23-ին նշվում է Հայրենիքի պաշտպանի օրը: Այդ օրը ոչ միայն մեծարվում են վետերանները, այլ նաև նրանք, ովքեր այս պահին ծառայում են բանակում: Այս տոնը վաղուց արդեն ամենահարգված տոների շարքում է: Ես շնորհավորում եմ բոլոր նրանց, ում համար հայրենիքի պաշտպանությունը ոչ միայն պարտք է, այլև կյանքի նպատակ»,-տոնի առթիվ շնորհավորելով բոլորին՝ նշեց 102-րդ ռազմական բազայի հրամանատար գնդապետ Վլադիմիր Ելկանովը:
«Մաղթում եմ բոլորիդ խաղաղ երկինք, թող ձեր զենքերը միայն ուսումնական պոլիգոններում գործի դրվեն: Պետք է օր ու գիշեր սովորել՝ վազել, կրակել, պարապել, բայց Աստված չտա այդ սովորածը պետք գա»,- նշեց Հայ-ռուսական միացյալ խմբավորման զորքերի նորանշանակ հրամանատար գեներալ-մայոր Տիգրան Փարվանյանը:
Նույն օրը Մայր Հայաստան հուշահամալիրի տարածքում տեղի ունեցավ զինտեխնիկայի ցուցադրություն, մարդիկ կարողացան ոչ միայն մոտիկից ծանոթանալ ռուսական զինված ուժերի զորամիավորումների զինտեխնիկային, այլ նաև տանկ նստել, դիտել հետախուզական խմբի ցուցադրական ելույթը: Միջոցառումներն ավարտվեցին Պատվո բլուր տարածքում պսակադրությամբ:
