Հայաստանի Ազգային ժողովի փոխնախագահ Էդուարդ Շարմազանովն արձագանքել է Թուրքիայի Վարչապետ Բինալի Յըլդըրըմի այն հայտարարությանը, թե «ՄԱԿ-ի և ԵԱՀԿ-ի փաստաթղթերը ցույց են տալիս, որ Խոջալուի դեպքերը Հայաստանի կողմից ադրբեջանցինների նկատմամբ իրականացված ցեղասպանություն է»: ՀՀԿ ԳՄ նիստի ավարտից հետո լրագրողների հետ հանդիպմանը ՀՀ ԱԺ փոխնախագահն ընդգծեց, որ Թուրքիայի վարչապետն արել է հայտարարություն, որը դժվար է այլ բառերով որակելը, քան լկտի սուտն ու անհեթեթությունը: 

«Նա ասել է, որ ՄԱԿ-ը, ԵԱՀԿ-ն և միջազգային այլ կառույցներ դատապարտել են Հայաստանի կողմից «կոտորածները»: Չկա աշխարհում մի միջազգային կազմակերպություն և  կառույց՝ լինի դա ՄԱԿ-ը, ԵԽԽՎ-ն կամ ԵԱՀԿ-ն, որն ընդունել է որևէ փաստաթուղթ, որտեղ Հայաստանը մեղադրվում է «կոտորածի» մեջ: Դա լկտի սուտ է, նման բան գոյություն չունի»,- շեշտեց Շարմազանովը:

Նրա խոսքով՝ սա ընդամենը թուրք-ադրբեջանական հերթական կեղծիքն է: 

«Իրենք իրենց հավաքվել են, ուրիշ գյուղից մարդ չկա, սուտ է՝ ասում են: Չկա որևէ միջազգային կառույց, որն ընդունած լինի Հայաստանի կամ Արցախի կողմից որևէ «կոտորած»: Իսկ Խոջալուի մասին բազմիցս խոսվել է, իրենց նախագահ Այազ Մութալիբովը դրա մասին խոսել է: Դա բացառապես ներքին քաղաքական պայքարի արդյունք է, որտեղ Ադրբեջանի այդ ժամանակվա ընդդիմությունը խփեց Մութալիբովի աքիլեսյան գարշապարին, որից հետո Մութալիբովը հարցազրույց տվեց, որը համացանցում կա, և այստեղ որևէ գաղտնի բան չկա»,- ասաց ՀՀ ԱԺ փոխնախագահը:

Շարմազանովն ընդգծեց, որ Թուրքիայի հայտարարությունները, որ իրենք միշտ լինելու են Ադրբեջանի կողքին, ևս մեկ անգամ ապացուցում է հայկական կողմի դիրքորոշման ճշմարտացիությունն առ այն, որ Թուրքիան անելիք չունի արցախյան հիմնախնդրում, որովհետև այդ երկիրը սատարում է Ադրբեջանի հանցագործ քաղաքականությանը:
