Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանին մարտի 28-ին իր հավատարմագրերն է հանձնել Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունում Իտալիայի Հանրապետության արտակարգ և լիազոր դեսպան Վինչենցո դել Մոնակոն:

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ Նախագահի աշխատակազմի հասարակայնության և տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից, շնորհավորելով դեսպանին պաշտոնն ստանձնելու կապակցությամբ՝ Հանրապետության Նախագահը նրան մաղթել է հաջողություններ և հույս հայտնել, որ իր ակտիվ աշխատանքով նորանշանակ դեսպանը կնպաստի դարերի խորքից եկող հայ-իտալական ավանդական բարեկամական հարաբերությունների խորացմանն ու տարբեր ոլորտներում համագործակցության զարգացմանը:

Նախագահ Սարգսյանը և դեսպան Վինչենցո դել Մոնակոն համակարծիք են եղել, որ բարձր մակարդակի հայ-իտալական միջպետական հարաբերությունները զարգանում են պատմական ամուր հիմքերի և երկու ժողովուրդների հարուստ մշակութային ժառանգության հիման վրա, սակայն, զրուցակիցների համոզմամբ, հարաբերությունների զարգացման ներուժը և ակնկալիքները շատ ավելին են:

«Մեր խնդիրն է՝ մշտապես բացահայտել այդ ներուժը, ավելացնել երկու երկրների միջև առևտրաշրջանառության ծավալները, ակտիվացնել քաղաքական երկխոսությունը, սերտացնել մշակութային կապերը և, ընդհանրապես, մեր հարաբերությունները բոլոր ոլորտներում»,- ընդգծել է Նախագահը:

Դեսպան Վինչենցո դել Մոնակոն վստահեցրել է, որ կանի ամեն հնարավորը արդարացնելու իր նկատմամբ վստահությունը և պաշտոնավարման ժամանակահատվածում հնարավորինս կնպաստի Իտալիայի վստահելի գործընկեր ու բարեկամ Հայաստանի հետ ինչպես երկկողմ, այնպես էլ բազմակողմ՝ միջազգային կազմակերպությունների շրջանակներում հարաբերությունների ամրապնդմանն ու խորացմանը:

Դեսպանը հանդիպման ժամանակ դրվատանքով է խոսել Իտալիայի հայ համայնքի մասին, որը նրա գնահատմամբ, մեծապես նպաստում է երկրի հասարակական, քաղաքական, տնտեսական և մշակութային կյանքի զարգացմանն ու պատմության ընթացքում մշտապես իր ուրույն ներդրումն է ունեցել հայ-իտալական հարաբերությունների ամրապնդման գործում:
