ՀՀ Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանն այսօր հանդիպում է ունեցել Իտալիայի Պատգամավորների պալատի նախագահ Ռոբերտո Ֆիկոյի հետ: 

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ նախագահի աշխատակազմի հասարակայնության եւ տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից, հանդիպման սկզբում Պատգամավորների պալատի նախագահը Հանրապետության Նախագահից հետաքրքրվել է Իտալիա և Վատիկան նրա այցի ընթացքով: Նախագահ Սարգսյանը ներկայացրել է բավականին ջերմ մթնոլորտում կայացած այցի հագեցած օրակարգը և արդյունքները` հանդիպումներն ու ձեռքբերված պայմանավորվածությունները:

Սերժ Սարգսյանը շնորհավորել է Ռոբերտո Ֆիկոյին` Պատգամավորների պալատի նախագահի բարձր պաշտոնում ընտրվելու կապակցությամբ, մաղթել արգասաբեր աշխատանք և հույս հայտնել, որ նա իր կարևոր ներդրումը կունենա նաև հայ-իտալական միջխորհրդարանական համագործակցության հետագա զարգացման գործում:

Հանրապետության Նախագահը մեծապես կարևորել է խորհրդարանական կապերի դերը միջպետական հարաբերությունների օրակարգի ընդլայնման գործում և զրուցակցին տեղեկացրել, որ Հայաստանի Ազգային ժողովը եվրոպական բազմաթիվ երկրների խորհրդարանների հետ բարեկամական կապերի բարի ավանդույթ է ձևավորել: Նախագահ Սարգսյանն ընդգծել է` ժամանակն է նոր մակարդակի բարձրացնել նաև հայ-իտալական միջխորհրդարանական փոխգործակցությունը՝ հատկապես, որ դրա համար առկա են բոլոր նախապայմանները: Սերժ Սարգսյանն այս համատեքստում ընդգծել է, թե լոկ այն հանգամանքը, որ Իտալիայի խորհրդարանում Հայաստանի հետ նախորդ բարեկամության խումբն աշխարհի խորհրդարաններում երկու ամենամեծ խմբերից մեկն էր, ինքնին խոսուն է: Հայաստանի` կառավարման խորհրդարանական համակարգին անցնելուց հետո, Հանրապետության Նախագահի համոզմամբ, համագործակցության շատ ավելի մեծ հնարավորություններ և ներուժ կա, որն անհրաժեշտ է լիարժեքորեն օգտագործել:

Նախագահը հույս է հայտնել, որ այս տարվա մարտին Իտալիայում անցկացված խորհրդարանական ընտրություններից հետո հնարավորինս արագ կվերաձևավորվի Հայաստանի հետ բարեկամության խումբը, և նորակազմ խորհրդարանի հետ կշարունակվի հայ-իտալական միջխորհրդարանական փոխգործակցության խորացումը:

Ռոբերտո Ֆիկոյի հետ հանդիպման ժամանակ Նախագահ Սարգսյանը ջերմությամբ է հիշել Իտալիա կատարած իր նախորդ այցի շրջանակներում նրա ծննդավայր Նեապոլում հյուրընկալվելը և նշել, որ այդ քաղաքն առավել քան հոգեհարազատ է հայերին: Իտալիայի Պատգամավորների պալատի նախագահն ընդգծել է, որ քաջատեղյակ է այդ ամենին և գիտի, որ Նեապոլում է գտնվում Սուրբ Գրիգոր Հայի եկեղեցին, որտեղ պահվում են Գրիգոր Լուսավորչի մասունքները:

Հանդիպմանն անդրադարձ է եղել նաև Հայաստան-Եվրամիություն հարաբերություններին և անցյալ տարվա նոյեմբերին ԵՄ հետ ստորագրված Համապարփակ և ընդլայնված գործընկերության համաձայնագրին:

Զրուցակիցները մտքեր են փոխանակել նաև ԼՂ հիմնախնդրի կարգավորման բանակցային գործընթացի շուրջ: Հանրապետության Նախագահը զրուցակցին հանգամանորեն ներկայացրել է գործընթացի վերջին զարգացումները և հայկական կողմի մոտեցումները, որոնք համահունչ են ԵԱՀԿ ՄԽ սկզբունքներին ու մոտեցումներին:
Իտալիա կատարած աշխատանքային այցի շրջանակներում Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանն ապրիլի 6-ին նաև հարցազրույց է տվել իտալական հեղինակավոր «Լա Ստամպա» պարբերականին:
