1960-70-ականն թվականներին թուրքական կինոարվեստի զարգացման գործում մեծ ներդրում են ունեցել մի շարք հայազգի դերասաններ: Ժամանակի հայտնի ֆիլմերում և թատերական ներկայացումներում հաճախ գլխավոր դերեր խաղացած թուրքական կինոյի ամենասիրված դերասանների հայկական ծագման մասին այսօր էլ շատերը չգիտեն: Թուրքական կինոյի սիրված հորեղբայրը` Նուբար Թերզյանը խաղացել է 400-ից ավել հայտնի ֆիլմերում` մարմնավորելով նպարավաճառի, կաթնագործի կամ խիստ հոր կերպարներ: Թերզյանը եղել է նաև Ստամբուլի հարգված պարոններից մեկը:
