Իրադարձությունները Հայաստանում շատ արագ են ընթանում: Հեղափոխությունը կարծես թե մտնում է իր տրամաբանական ընթացքի մեջ՝ անհանդուրժողականություն բոլոր նրանց հանդեպ, ովքեր հեղափոխականների հետ համաձայն չեն, բոլոր նրանց ազգի դավաճան կամ թշնամի հայտարարել, վախի մթնոլորտի ստեղծում, երբ մարդիկ չեն ցանկանում անգամ սոցցանցերում մեկնաբանություններ գրել որոնք դուր չեն գա հեղափոխականներին, իսկ գլխավոր հեղափոխականի շուրջ արդեն ձևավորվում է պաշտամունք, վերջինս էլ իրեն ավելի անպատասխանատու ու սանձարձակ է պահում: 

Սկզբնական պահանջի իրագործումից և Սերժ Սարգսյանի հրաժարականից հետո Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը հայտարարեց, որ նոր վարչապետ պետք է դառնա հրապարակի թեկնածուն՝ այսինքն ինքը: Ընդ որում, մերժվում էր անգամ արտահերթ ընտրությունների անցկացումը որևէ տեսանելի ժամանակում: Պահանջելով ընտրական օրենսգրքի, հանձնաժողովների ձևավորման և օրենսդրական այլ փոփոխությունների անցկացում, պետական համակարգի անմիջական իրեն ենթակայություն, ապա նոր՝ ընտրությունների անցկացում, ըստ էության Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը ցանկանում է իր վարչապետությունն ամրագրել մինչ ընտրությունները: Այսինքն, արդար ընտրությունների անցկացման, ժողովրդի կամքի արտահայտման մասին նրա հայտարարությունները պարզապես դատարկ խոսքեր են: «Տվեք ինձ բոլոր ռեսուրսները՝ հետո նոր ընտրություններ»՝ սա է նպատակը: 
Նախօրեին Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն արդեն առանց երկմտելու հայտարարեց, որ վարչապետ պետք է դառնա կամ ինքը կամ ընդհանրապես վարչապետ չի լինի: : Ի՞նչ է սա նշանակում: Հայաստանի սահմանդրական կարգի ոտնահարում և ճանապարհ դեպի բռնապետություն: Ինչպես ասում էր Ֆրանսիայի թագավոր Լյուդովիկոս 14-րդը՝ «Պետությունը ես եմ»: Ըստ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի՝ «Վարչապետը ես եմ» և վերջ: 
Հակառակ դեպքում, նա սպառնացել է բոյկոտել ընտրությունները, ընդ որում՝ ընդուպ ընտրական տեղամասերում: Անշուշտ, այլոց իրավունքների ոտնահարման առումով սա հեղափոխական ակտիվիստների համար սովորական միջոցառում է: Նրանք արդեն սովոր են փակել ճանապարհներ, կոտրել և շուռ տալ նստարաններ ու աղբամաններ, մեքենաների ձայնային ազդանշանները միացած երթևեկել կատաղի արագությամբ օրվա բոլոր, այդ թվում ուշ գիշերային ժամերին և այլն: Ոտնահարելով մարդկանց ազատ տեղաշարժի, հանգստի իրավունքը, հիմա էլ որոշել են ոտնահարել ընտրելու իրավունքը: 
Ընտրությունները ժողովրդի կամքի արտահայտության հիմնական միջոցն են, եթե որևէ մեկը դեմ է դրա անցկացմանը, ապա նա չի ցանկանում լսել և հաշվի առնել ժողովրդի ձայնը: Եթե հեղափոխության առաջնորդն ունի ողջ ժողովրդի աջակցությունը, ապա ցանկացած պարագայում ժողովուրդը կընտրի նրան, առավել ևս երբ ընտրությունների կեղծման տարբերակը պարզապես բացառվել է նոր տեխնոլոգիաների կիրառման շնորհիվ: Ակնհայտ է, որ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի դեպքում գործ ունենք դեռևս իշխանության գլուխ չանցած, բայց արդեն բռնապետ դարձած մարդու հետ, որի ամբողջական դրսևոումներին ականատես կլինենք այդ մարդու իշխանության առաջին իսկ օրերից: Հեղափոխոթյունների պատմությունները ուսումնասիրող մասնագետները կփաստեն, որ այդպես եղել է բոլոր հեղափոխություններից հետո՝ սկսած ֆրանսիական մեծ հեղափոխությունից մինչև մերօրյա գունավոր հեղափոխություններ:
