Դանիայի Օդեր քաղաքի Գիլինգ ավանում ապրիլի 29-ին դանիացի միսիոներ Կարեն Եփփեին նվիրված հուշաքարի մոտ տեղի է ունեցել Հայոց ցեղասպանության զոհերի 103-րդ տարելիցի հիշատակի ոգեկոչման և Կարեն Եփփեին հարգանքի տուրք մատուցելու արարողություն:

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի նախարարության լրատվական ծառայությունից, միջոցառման մեկնարկին դանիահայերի հոգևոր հովիվ Տեր Ստեփանոս Հովհաննիսյանի կողմից կատարվել է ցեղասպանության նահատակների ոգեկոչմանը նվիրված բարեխոսական կարգ: Այնուհետեւ ելույթ են ունեցել Դանիայում ՀՀ դեսպան Ալեքսանդր Արզումանյանը, Օդերի քաղաքապետ Ուֆֆե Յենսենը և Գիլինգի պատմական արխիվի տնօրեն Մոգենս Հոյմարկը:

Դեսպան Արզումանյանն իր ելույթում նշել է, որ Հայոց ցեղասպանության հիշատակի օրերը կարևոր առիթ են հարգանքի տուրք մատուցելու բոլոր նրանց, ովքեր հայ ժողովրդի համար ողբերգալի իրադարձությունների ընթացքում օգնության ձեռք են մեկնել ու բազմաթիվ հայերի կյանքեր փրկել: Խոսելով դանիացի միսիոներուհի Կարեն Եփփեի հայանպաստ գործունեության մասին` դեսպանն իր երախտիքն է արտահայտել ավելի քան 300 հայ որբերի կյանքը փրկելու ու աշխարհին հայերի կոտորածների մասին տեղյակ պահելու նրա ջանքերի համար:

Օդերի քաղաքապետ Ուֆֆե Յենսենը և Գիլինգի պատմական արխիվի տնօրեն Մոգենս Հոյմարկն իրենց խոսքում ընդգծել են, որ արդեն 5-րդ տարի է ինչ մասնակցում են Գիլինգում անցկացվող այս միջոցառմանը, որն իրենց համար մարդասիրության և անձնվիրության խորհուրդ ունի: Նրանք խոսել են դանիացի միսիոներուհիներ Մարիա Յակոբսենի և Կարեն Եփփեի առաքելության մասին, ովքեր իրենց կյանքը նվիրաբերել են հազարավոր հայերի փրկության համար:

Արարողության ավարտին դեսպանն այցելել է Գիլինգի պատմական արխիվ` ծանոթանալու հայերի ցեղասպանության մասին Կարեն Եփփեի բազմաթիվ վկայություններին, հոդվածներին, արխիվային նյութերին:

Միջոցառմանը ներկա են եղել Դանիայի հայ համայնքի ներկայացուցիչներ և բազմաթիվ դանիացիներ:
