ՀՀ վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանն ֆեյսբուքյան ուղիղ հեռարձակման ընթացքում անդրադարձավ նաև ՀՀ Ազգային անվտանգության պետի պաշտոնին և հայտարարեց, որ Գեորգի Կուտոյանին կփոխարինի Երևան քաղաքի վարչութան պետի տեղակալ Արթուր Վանեցյանը:

Փաշինյանի խոսքով՝ երկար տարիներ ԱԱԾ գործառույթը խեղաթյուրված է եղել, ԱԱԾ-ն ավելի շատ ներքաղաքական խնդիրների մասնակից է եղել, քան երկրի անվտանգության ապահովմամբ է զբաղվել: 

Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը շեշտեց, որ ԱԱԾ գործառույթները, որոնք կապված են հետախուզության, հակահետախուզության հետ, անվտանագության արտաքին կոմպոնենտն է: 

ՀՀ նախագահ Արմեն Սարգսյանն արդեն հրամանագիր է ստորագրել Արթուր Վանեցյանին ՀՀ ազգային անվտանգության ծառայության տնօրեն նշանակելու մասին:

«Հիմք ընդունելով վարչապետի առաջարկությունը` համաձայն Սահմանադրության 133-րդ հոդվածի 1-ին մասի և «Ազգային անվտանգության մարմինների մասին» Հայաստանի Հանրապետության օրենքի 4.1-ին հոդվածի 1-ին մասի.

Արթուր Վանեցյանին նշանակել Հայաստանի Հանրապետության ազգային անվտանգության ծառայության տնօրեն»,-ասված է հրամանագրում:
