Հայաստանի ազգային հերոս, աշխարհահռչակ շանսոնյե Շառլ Ազնավուրը բաց նամակ է գրել՝ շնորհավորելով  հայությանը երկրում առանց արյան, բռնության, արժեքների ոտնահարման մեկ այլ իրողության անցում ապահովելու համար:

Շանսոնյեի բաց նամակը, որ հրապարակել է «Ազնավուր» հիմնադրամը, ներկայացնում ենք ստորև: 

Հայաստանում գտնվող իմ շա՜տ սիրելի քույրեր և եղբայրներ,

Շնորհավորում եմ ձեզ, որ կարողացաք առանց արյան, բռնության, արժեքների ոտնահարման անցում ապահովել երկրում մեկ այլ իրողության։ 

Քաղաքացիական անհնազանդության օրերին ևս դրսևորեցիք արժանապատիվ ու մարդասիրական կեցվածք՝ լուծում առաջարկելով ծագող խնդիրներին այնքան սահուն ու արագ, ասես դա դյուրին էր։ Սա զարմացրեց և մտածելու տեղիք տվեց շատ այլ երկրների կառավարությունների։

Մեզ՝ Սփյուռքի հայերիս համար մեծ հպարտություն էր ցույց տալ աշխարհին, որ կա մի փոքր երկիր, որի քաղաքացիները բացառիկ իմաստնություն և մարդասիրություն դրսևորեցին՝ ապացուցելով, որ բռնությունը խաղաղության և փոխըմբռնման տանող ճանապարհ չի կարող լինել։ Մեր պատմության ընթացքում շատ դժվարություններ ենք ճանաչել։ Հիմա բացում ենք երջանկության, իմաստնության և սիրո էջը։

Ձեզ հաջողվեց ապացուցել, որ մեր ազգն ունի գիտակցության բարձր աստիճան, և որ մեր երկրի համար առաջնահերթ է ու միշտ էլ պետք է առաջնահերթ մնա ամենակարևորը՝ միավորումը։ Այս միավորումն է, որ թույլ է տալու ապահովել երկրի բարեկեցությունը և քաղաքացիների միջև բարյացակամ վերաբերմունքը։ Ձեզ հաջողվեց ապացուցել, որ հնարավոր է ապրել միավորված և պատասխանատվության բարձր զգացումով։ Մենք՝ հայերս, կարողացանք ցույց տալ, որ «ժողովուրդ», «հայրենիք», «դրոշ», «մշակույթ», «կրոն» և «ընտանիք» բառերը մեր արժեքներն են։ Եվ որ յուրաքանչյուր հայ իր երկրում ունի հավասար իրավունքներ ու ազատություններ։

Ես, հավանաբար, աշխարհի հայերից ամենաֆրանսիացին եմ, սակայն ես հպարտ եմ իմ Հայաստանով և երբեք չեմ թաքցրել դա։
 
Շնորհակալություն հայ ժողովրդին աշխարհին մեր մարդասիրությունը ցույց տալու համար․ Հայաստանը մեծ է իր արժեքներով։ Օրինա՛կ լինենք բոլոր նրանց համար, ովքեր տարբեր են, գուցե նաև՝ ոչ այնքան բաց փոփոխությունների առջև։ Եկեք առաջ ընթանանք նույն ճանապարհով։ Վստահ եմ՝ այն լավագույնն է մեր ազգի և ժողովրդի ապագայի համար։

Շնորհակալ եմ յուրաքանչյուրիդ հպարտության այս մեծ զգացումն ինձ պարգևելու համար։ Կեցցե՛ Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունը։
