Ոստիկանության աշխատակիցների օպերատիվ-հետախուզական եւ քննչական համատեղ գործողությունների արդյունքում մայիսի 17-ին բացահայտել են մայիսի 14-ին Երեւանի Կենտրոն վարչական շրջանի Սարալանջի նորակառույց ճանապարհի աջակողմյան հատվածում գտնվող Այգեստան 11 փողոցի 1-ին նրբանցքի տներից մեկին հարակից կիսակառույց շինությունում 60-ամյա Գեւորգ Մաթոսյանի առանձնակի դաժան սպանությունը։ Նրա դին նեխած եւ գլխի շրջնում ջնջխված վիճակում հայտնաբերվել էր նույն օրը։

Shamshyan.com-ի  փոխանցմամբ, ոստիկանները սպանությունը կատարելու կասկածանքով ոստիկանության Կենտրոնական բաժին են բերման ենթարկել Երեւան քաղաքի բնակիչ՝ 20-ամյա Անդրեյ Խալիլյանին։

Աղբյուրի տեղեկություններով՝ նա ժամկետային զինծառայող է եղել, ծառայության է գտնվել Արցախի զորամասերից մեկում, սպանությունը կատարելու օրը նա օրինական կարճաժամկետ արձակուրդի է եղել ու սպանությունը կատարել է ապրիլին։

Նա այդ օրը նաեւ նռնակ է նետել նույն հասցեի բնակչի վրա, որի մասին ոստիկանության Կենտրոնական բաժնում օպերատիվ տվյալներ էին ստացել օրեր անց, քանի որ վիրավորում ստացած քաղաքացին կատարվածի մասին չէր տեղեկացրել իրավապահներին։

Քննիչի որոշմամբ կասկածյալ Ա. Խալիլյանը ձերբակալվել է։ Նա հայտնել է, որ սպանությունը կատարել է այդ օրը, երբ նռնակ է նետել խորթ հոր ուղղությամբ եւ իր զոհին անասնագոմում սպանել է կացնի մի քանի հարվածով։ Իրավապահները ձեռնարկում են անհրաժեշտ օպերատիվ միջոցառումներ՝ հանցագործության գործիք հանդիսացող կացինը հայտնաբերելու ուղղությամբ։

Ավելի վաղ հայտնել էինք, որ մայիսի 14-ին առեղծվածային դեպք էր տեղի ունեցել Երեւանում։ Ժամը 09։00-ի սահմաններում ոստիկանություն ահազանգ էր ստացվել, որ Սարալանջի նորակառույց ճանապարհի աջակողմյան հատվածում գտնվող Այգեստան փողոցի տներից մեկի անասնագոմում տղամարդու դի կա։

Դատաբժշկի նախնական եզրակացության համաձայն՝ մահացածի գլուխն ամբողջովին ջնջխված էր՝ բազմաթիվ բեկորային վնասվածքներով։ Ոստիկանությունն ու քննչական բաժինը պարզել էին, որ մահացածը Այգեստան 11 փողոցի բնակիչ՝ 60-ամյա Գեւորգ Մաթոսյանն էր։
